My hospital bag is packed and ready for baby!

4 weeks to go! I've had my hospital bags for a while now. Just always adding and removing things from it. 

So far I have 2 bags. 1 for me and 1 for baby.

Baby bag:
- 3 onesies
- 1 coming home outfit
- 3 blankets
- 3 hats and 3 socks
- a pacifier
- diapers
- wipes

Me:
- pj's
- robe
- socks
- pads
- nursing pads
- under garments
- creams
- personal hygiene products
- makeup ( ha! We'll see if I get a chance to use it lol)
- slippers
- coming home outfit
- hospital papers
- Camera

Think I'm missing anything?? Packed too much?

Last week my doctor gave me a number to our public health line for breastfeeding support. It's a free service, so I called.

The nurse was on the phone with me for an hour ;)

She gave me some websites to go on and recommended some books as well.

She gave me these tips:
Try and breastfeed within the first 24 hours. That way our body knows to produce.

I asked about the different ways of delivery, C section and Vaginal and she said as soon as mom is awake and baby is ok then breastfeeding is safe and ok.

She also said to get baby on me, skin to skin as soon as doctors are done checking him out. Allowing baby to look for the nipple as he cuddles on my skin. She repeated skin to skin is soo important.

She also suggested I lean back when breastfeeding. Not sit up. That way baby doesn't feel like he is falling but safe and secure against mommy.

Breastfeeding moms, I'd love to hear your advice?

36 weeks pregnant today!

 This week!

How Far Along: 36 weeks... Just 4 weeks to go!

Size of baby: iphone app says baby should be about 6lbs and that
next week it's considered full term!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 36lbs

Movement: Hiccups and lots of movement

Symptoms: Same as the last couple weeks , Joint pain, hands,knees, pelvic area. Emotional, I cry very easily, I'm more sensitive too these days.

What I'm looking forward to? This weekend, the nursery will arrive, finally!
and looking forward to finally meeting this precious little baby we made.
Excited!

Yesterday I was looking for Zoe and she always comes when I call. So when she doesn't
it's usually because she is somewhere that she shouldn't be, or she escaped outside.

Well....

She was where she shouldn't be. Can't blame her, all the baby things are soft and cozy. I covered them all up with garbage bags for now. I know she will get to them eventually.


I hope Zoe adapts well to the baby.  Right now she is always around me. She follows me everywhere, when I'm relaxing she always comes to sleep on my legs or beside me. Love my little cat, I hope she loves the baby too.

We also installed the Car seat!

It was easy to install so that was good. Our Suv has latches so it was just snapping them in and making them tight, funny thing is we also put the seat belt through too, but afterwards I read the manual again and having those latches alone is fine.

It's another busy weekend ahead. Grandmas 80th bday party, and Thanksgiving.

In my Ninth Month of Pregnancy!

I'm officially in my last month. The ninth month. 
 
I'm excited and so happy to meet my little baby that's been growing inside me. 

I get a overwhelming feeling that makes me hold my breath and makes my heart beat 

faster when I think of what he will look like and the thought of holding his soft 

little hands makes my heart melt.
 
Friends and family are betting on his due date. And all are in the end of October. 

We'll see!

Wedding Fun!

 Yesterday all the bridesmaid and myself ( The MOH) went to get our measurements done for my sisters wedding in March! It was funny when all the girls complained equally about their measurements. It was tough when it came to mine, since baby K is taking up all my tummy :) So we measured bust and hips and took a guess. The dress I ordered will have a waist size of 32 1/2 So I will have 3 months to get it down to that or less! Fingers crossed for me mama's! Hips were and always have been my issue. But these dresses flow nicely from the waist down so I think it will be ok.... I hope haha!

My niece was sooooo excited! She had to try on a dress. She was so happy to be doing things with the girls. She's growing up soo fast!

And the Bride's dress was in tooo!!! It was a surprise to the bride! She tried it on and it fit perfectly! It was sooo pretty! All the bridesmaids were soo excited to see it too.

The weekend is here yay! I'm loving this fall weather. This weekend will be beautiful here too. Hope you all have a great fall weekend!

35 week OB appointment and Fall pics!

 The leaves are changing! The weather is still pretty mild here. So even though I have been wearing my tights/sweaters and new boots, it's actually kinda warm for them haha.

I put my mini pumpkins out in the front, but soon will buy the big ones! Love Fall!

Today I had my 35 week appointment. I'm not 35 weeks till Thursday though.

Doctor said baby is growing, head is still down and that's what is causing pressure and my swollen hands and feet. Baby's heartbeat is perfect and my blood pressure is in the normal range. My weight jumped a bit since last appt 2 weeks ago... OB wasn't concerned so that's good.... Just 5 weeks to go!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: gain 36lbs eek
Movement: lots of hiccups!
Sleep: Sleep is good, minus waking up to numb hands
Symptoms: Joint pain and feeling more tired.
Best Moment so far: My baby shower!
What I'm looking forward to? meeting my little guy!

Some new items:


I was going back and forth about getting the breast pump. I asked so many moms their opinion and decided that getting one is the right choice for me. We also got the Angel Care Video Monitor. I read great reviews on it and hope it works great for us too.



My friend over at http://www.believinginserendipity.com/  is in labour! She was feeling contractions yesterday then woke up at night with them closer together, 15min then 10 min then 5 min apart!
She texted me this morning and she received the epidural and is 3.5cm dilated
She is doing fine so far and says everything is going smoothly! Her due date was Sept 28
so her little guy is a little early. Gives me the feeling that my little guy will be
an October baby instead of Nov. We'll see!

I'm so excited for her!

Mama's out there with any advice about labour,  please send it over! Only 6 weeks left to go!
I wonder if I will get contractions throughout the day too, giving me time to prepare... or will my water break suddenly, hmm...I can't believe how fast time has gone by!


I set up the bassinet. It's so cute, I love it! And soon will get the husband to instal the car seat in the car.

We have a busy weekend. My cousin is getting married! And we have my other cousin's bridal shower Sunday. Fun, Busy weekend! (and lots of yummy food too!)

Yesterday was my Baby Shower!

My Sister organized it and she is the one that did the baking too! Looks awesome huh!

 I have a huge family.  We had 65 people in total. We rented this old town hall to hold the event and it was perfect. It was a fun afternoon!

 I got everything and anything for baby K, you name it, I got it!

 My niece was my little helper, she loved opening all the gifts.

 Lots and lots...

I have all the baby things scattered around, I put most things away in my hallway closet aka Baby stuff closet.  Some things for later use in the basement ,and of course all the clothes in the basement ready to be washed. I have a big basket full of blankets, and 1 laundry basket over flowing with newborn to 3 month clothes and another basket for 6-9 month clothes. 

Baby K is soo loved and everyone is soo excited to meet him! We are so blessed with amazing family and friends. 

I also got many gift cards, so next purchase will be a good Breast pump!

33 week OB Appointment, Questions for the OB.

 Today I went for my 33 week OB appointment. Doctor said that my last ultrasound was perfect! Baby is growing as he should! I asked her about the new aches and pains and she said they are all normal :) I'm feeling pressure (down there) she said it's ok and doesn't mean early delivery, just that baby is in down position and my body is preparing for it.

I asked her again about sleeping on my back (the only way i feel comfortable) all the books say not to... she said it's totally fine! So continue to do what works for my body.

I also asked her about taking DHA/EPA supplements during my third trimester. She said she does not recommend them if they are coming from a fish source because of the mercury. She said to look for veggie based ones at the health food store. Everything I read says it should come from fish like Salmon. (which I ate before but now can't stand) I guess I will try and keep my diet balanced as much as I can... only 7 weeks left to go!

Yesterday I started my scrapbook for my pregnancy journey. My husband laughed because I put Zoe in it too. LOL She was our first FURBABY! so of course she needs to be in it!

 Fall is almost fully here!  I can't wait to see the leaves change! Yesterday I went looking for pumpkins haha! I know it's early! No one is selling them anyway! So I bought these flowers to go in the pots for now... Until I find pumpkins.... I will be the first to buy them ahah!

Cravings and Nesting during my pregnancy

Yesterday I was craving my grandma's Milk Rice. So I decided to make it! And while I was making it, I ran out of milk haha! No worries, I stopped the process, and ran out to get more!.  It tasted exactly them same!

During my whole pregnancy I craved a lot of my childhood foods... Nutella, Milano cookies, My grandmothers cooking... and much more. Mmmmm I'm now hungry hahaha! Did you have cravings like these, from your childhood?

Like I mentioned before, my nesting stage has completely taken over... I get overwhelming joy at looking at organized closets, I open them a couple times a day just to look.. haha crazy person
Am I the only one that paces the house looking in drawers and closets to organize?

32 weeks pregnant update and presents!

This week!
How Far Along: 32 Weeks!  (8 weeks to go!)
Size of baby: Almost 4 lbs!
Movement: Love feel him kicking around
Craving: I'm getting weird cravings.. yesterday I wanted Pizza and ice cream and french fries! And also wanted to buy pumpkins (which are not for sale yet, well early this week they weren't, I'll check this week haha)
Symptoms: Swelling and my joints are sore.
Best Moment so far: seeing him and hearing is heartbeat this week :)

I'm also in the crazy crazy part of nesting. I've cleaned all my closets and made soo much space around the house ahaha. I feel much better now, knowing where all the baby things will be around the house and in the closets neat and tidy... for now ahahh. 

Yesterday a friend and I (Stef over at http://www.believinginserendipity.com/ )
went out for lunch :) Just the 2 preggos haha!


She's due in 18 days! Soo exciting!!!!!!!

Look at this super cute charm she got me for my birthday. I love it! It's a pacifier!


She was also able to get me a discount on a Kitchen Aid Mixer! I was soo excited when she told me. Makes me want to bake up a storm really really soon ahahh!

Tomorrow i'll be visiting my grandparents, haven't seen them in a while! My grandma had shingles and her doc told me to stay away for 3 weeks. So I'm happy to go see them tomorrow. And happy to eat her delicious food haha!

31 week ultrasound

 Yesterday we went for my 31 week ultrasound! Baby looks all cozy in this belly. We saw and heard his heartbeat, saw his weewee haha and saw him kicking around in there.  We didn't get any pics tho.  Lady said she couldn't get a clear shot for a picture (whatever, the ultrasound place is super annoying) I was just happy to hear and see him, so I didn't yell haha.  She said his head is down and he was curled up so his feet are facing my right side.

Last night I couldn't sleep at all. I'm most comfortable on my back, but I think the weight is now pressing on my ribs and back muscles and it hurts! Then we had miss kitty meowing like crazy at our bedroom door, I think she heard me tossing and turning and wanted in. Now she's all cozy on the couch sleeping, must be nice to be her huh ahah!

I love summer, but this preggo is happy for the cooler weather.  I was running out of summer wear that fits! For fall I have all my sweaters that will fit fine so it will be much easier to dress this growing belly for fall. And FALL is my favorite season anyway so I'm looking forward to it! :)

Tomorrow I'll be 32 weeks! That means 8 weeks to go! 57 more days!

Third Trimester brings on more change

Third Trimester changes are creeping up. I feel my joints getting looser, my foot size increasing, my mood swings getting crazier, and my nesting stage completely taking over. And the dreams, ha! they are getting crazier! I keep dreaming of the hospital losing or switching my baby, boo! However, in my dreams my delivery is quick and painless haha, that part of the dream is good.

On the weekend I went to buy a couple pairs of comfy shoes... My regular size was 7 1/2 I'm now in a 9! I've seen cute shoes online that I wanted to get, but I really need to try things on with my new size and all. But many of the store I went to don't have what I want!

So for now I bought these 

 And these, which I used as slippers yesterday haha!

I have 3 events this month, and with belly growing like crazy every week, I need to see what outfit will work pretty much a couple days before each event. This will be fun. Hoping some cute dresses I have still fit. 

I'm getting really excited and I can't wait to put the baby stuff together, just need to make sure I keep this little one from claiming things as her own haha! I need to make sure my furbaby gets a lot of love too even when baby comes. Maybe we will get her one of those big ceiling to floor scratch posts for the basement as a gift.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Yaaa I think I won't share that anymore, I really don't want to bother stepping on that scale haha!

Maternity Clothes: Still fitting this belly and bum into regular and mat clothes.  Can't wait for Fall! I have a long shopping list! As well as shoe shopping. I'm up a whole shoe size!
Movement: Baby moves a lot when I listen to Adele! He has good taste.
Sleep: This week was tough! Spine hurts! I guess belly is pretty heavy, so getting comfy is awkward.
Symptoms: Swelling :( I'm beginning to get the puffy hands and feet. boo!



Wednesday I went to drop off my pre-admission papers at the hospital! EEE! 9 weeks to go! I'm soo excited, a little nervous but wayyy more excited! I feel like time is going to go even faster now and I have soo much to still prepare for our little guy!

Onesies and I saw this piggy bank at Winners so picked it up instead of ordering online. 



Next week I'm going for an ultrasound to see our little guy. I can't wait!
