Last day of school!

Back in February little K moved from a home daycare with a loving caregiver and amazing friends, to a Montessori school. New teachers, new friends and new rules! Teaching more independence and a school setting routine.

First day of school... 

It took time getting use to. He settled in really well and he was always a happy boy when I picked him up so I knew he was having a great day! 

Everyday he comes home sharing stories about his day. Stories about his friends and things he's learned.

Always super cute and just melts my mommy heart!!! 

Watching him grow and learn makes me so happy. I'm so excited for him and all the experiences he has. 

Today was the last day of school!! 

Kris will spend some time with his old daycare friends before beginning summer camp! 

Today was also the end of school concert!!

For weeks he's been singing all the new songs at home. However he did mentions couple times that he didn't like singing with the other kids! Ha! That was a sign! 

The moment he saw us in the audience, he was out! Jumped off stage and watched the concert with us. He looked adorable!!! But tonight wasn't his night for singing. We gently talked about it on the way home. He was a little down about it. 

Our little guy is very strong willed, there is no forcing him to do what he doesn't want to do and also has a very good memory. He will remember this forever im sure! Ha! 

We love him Sooo much!!! And we are so proud of him! He has learned so much in the past 5 months. 

He also received a report card! Which he did very well in!! I framed his first report card of course! Proud mama :) 

I can't wait for him to begin summer camp! A month full of sports, dinosaurs and water fun! 

Father's Day this weekend!!! We have a lot planned! Have a great weekend friends!! 

Long weekend fun

Ahh another long weekend. 

The weather was beautiful!!!! 

We had a BBQ party at a friends house. With delicious pizza from their wood burning oven! 

Yesterday we went to the beach and soaked up the sun! A 3 hour drive but well worth it! 

We built sand castles and played with waterguns and went swimming! 

Little k was afraid of the water at first. Once he saw me in the water he got brave and yelled "my turn" and ran in!!! Omg we were in shock as he ran in splashing with no fear. He laughed and said he was swimming like a fishy. Ha! 

I am sooo loving this stage and little k's imagination. 

As he was playing in the sand he was saying that he found dinosaur eggs ha! This kid loves everything dinosaur right now. 

I never want to forget these super cute moments!  

Summer time summer time fun

I don't want summer to be over!!!!!!!!

Today my sister and I went down to our old neighborhood to workout! There will be a month gap of when our home closes and new home will be ready, so we will be staying at my moms. I'm actually pretty excited to go back to the  old neighborhood, it will always feel like home :)

Ha! We had so much fun chatting, laughing  and exercising. 

Hahaa!!! 

This week I think I did pretty good in my diet plan. I slipped up a couple times but over all ate healthy and watched my portions! Drank lots of water, less coffee ;) 

I'll do a weigh in Saturday morning!

Weekly update on our new home.

Windows and doors! 

We had some options of doors to choose from. We upgraded our door to the single taller door with glass on the side. Looking up feng shui and the direction of our door It says sand colors is best. That's exactly what we got!

I have a note book ready with the lists, yes listsss of our move/storage/purchases and all house related things! 

Today we agreed on getting shutters for the inside as our current home has. I also started the hunt for a new washer and dryer. 

This is our third home! We are so excited! when we pass by the new home, little k already says that's his house. Well he says his broken house haha.  

Weekend recap:

Sunday we went to African lion. Safari!!!

Kris loved it! Who doesn't! We went often as kids and I have soo many great memories of the animal tour. 

When the animals came close to the car kris was afraid and told us to hurry up and drive ha!

We also went over to my sisters place Saturday night. The kids are just soo cute!'

Yesterday i had the day off with kris and we had such a fun day me and him. Starting off with breakfast with a friend. 

Day 1 of my diet is on track!

Day 2... I'm planning for it to be a success haha

Canada Day weekend!

Well Canada Day fell on a Tuesdsy this year, But I took Monday off too so it was a extra long weekend for mee. 

Last weekend we had the first swim of the summer! It was sooo hot and humid this weekend! 

We did our annual BBQ at my aunt and uncles house.

Oh how I wish I had a pool! 

It was another soccer weekend. We went to my brother inlaws place Saturday for all day soccer fun, and today we hosted a all day soccer BBQ. 

Monday my sister and I took the day off for a day out shopping! With no kids ha! 

We were out early for breakfast then hit the malls!

So happy for a short week and tomorrow is already Friday! 

5 months to 3!

Mr 2 years old and 7 months HUH… 3 in just 5 months huh huh! Can time PLEASE SLOW DOWN!

 

When I look up different toddler personalities, little K does not fall into the Shy kid, or EASY child category. He is a good kid and a normal 2 year old that can switch to very sweet and calm to wild and screaming for his way or the high way hahah. I remember hearing moms say toddlers are kookoo people, going from happy, excited to screaming and crying in a matter of a second. Oh yes they are emotional that’s forsure haha.

 

Reading up on little K’s personality I would say that he is a combination and I also do not like to label any child any one way anyway! They are growing learning and developing so a constant change I believe is the best thing to see!

 

Little K is definitely, strong willed and sensitive. He loves to make his own choices and lets you know loud and clear if he does not like what you just did. Ha! His disapproving face is so funny to see. He is this little person with such a strong personality and sense of self. He knows what he wants and YOU will know what he doesn’t want. Ha!

 

We have many good days and of course with a toddler many challenging days, working through tantrums and bargaining and helping our little toddler through his emotions when he’s upset. Which can be really difficult for us parents especially when we too are tired! We are learning too! As I read up on handling tantrums I see, Patience patience!

Little K is loving the summer. He is one active boy! He loves the park and loves being outdoors. He loves car rides with us and loves pointing out and calling out everything he sees to make sure we seen it too. “Mama look! A motorcycle” and if we don’t answer it gets louder “ HELLOOO MAMA! LOOK MOTORCYCLE” Funny kid.

 

Things little K loves at 2.7 years old…

Airplanes and Helicopters are still at the top of the list of favorites! Airplane/Helicopter Toys, movies, videos, ipad apps! Loves them!

Little man can count to 15 and say his full ABC’s! He loves to sing songs and loves when I sing him a song before bed.

He loves hugs and kisses and loves being the center of mommy and daddy’s lives :)

Summer days

A friend and I met up yesterday for a playdate with the kids. We enjoyed a nice breakfast. The kids were well behaved until the end when little K had enough and was anxious to run around, he threw his plate of food to the ground. Blueberries and bread all scattered all over the floor ha! 

We then headed to a park so the kids can get filthy haha yes playing in sand. Sand was everywhere!!!! I'm soooo not a fan of sand playgrounds. Sand is for the beach!

Later in the evening we had a BBQ dinner outside. Summer feels like its slipping away too quickly! 

Little K and Zoe are best friends. They are adorable playing together. Yesterday it was hide and seek I think ha!! 

Summer is ending soon and little K will be starting a new daycare very soon! More about this later!

My birthday weekend

Ahhh my birthday. Another year older. I'm not thrilled about it ha! 

The weekend started off with a friends wedding. I wore my new black dress with my new sparkly shoes but the shoes hurt my scrape on my ankle from last weeks fall so I ended up wearing my favorite heels at the end of the night. 

  

Then Saturday night we stayed in to have our own little family birthday dinner. We ordered Italian mmmm! 

Little K loved it.

I share my birthday with my mom. So on our birthday we got together for a bday breakfast. 

We had a great time!
