Baby shower and snow!

A snow storm hit us last night and all day today! We didn't think it was that bad until my husband only made it out of the garage and in front of the house before getting stuck. It took 2 hours before he made it back into the garage ha! A friend came over to help dig and push him out. So happy that our second car is a SUV because I had a whole day planned helping my sister for her baby shower tomorrow!

We are excited! Yesterday we decorated cookies and today cupcakes! My sister baked them, I helped decorate and package.

Yum! Don't they look delicious!

Weekend of cooking!

The weather this weekend was crazy. It rained all day Saturday then we had a snow storm Saturday night.

Husband had to work from home this weekend so we spent a lot of time indoors. Which was great because I made delicious meals all weekend! WINNING (LOL)

I used my little food processor like crazy haha!
I made my version of re-fried beans. Black beans and garlic fried with a little coconut oil. It turned out perfect!

Thank you for all the great comments on my last post. I love calorie counting especially on those days we eat out. I like knowing how many calories the foods are so I can pick and choose the healthier choices.

Tonight I tried a new Salmon recipe.

I bushed melted coconut butter on the salmon and topped it with bread crumbs and cilantro. Placed it in greased (coconut oil) dish and cooked it for 20mins at 375F
My husband and I loved it! I served it with a avocado salad and sweet potatoes.

My goal this week is to have homemade meals for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner for 5 days of the week!

Have you tried any new recipes you love lately??

Our last bbq of the season

Sunday we had family over for a BBQ. Our families are pretty large on both sides so we always need to do things separately! So this weekend we had my family over for the last BBQ of the season. My next house must have a very large basement to fit our whole families together :) because all these dinner parties are a lot of work!

We had lots of food! I was cooking all morning! I also made Stuffed Peppers in the slow cooker. Slow cookers rock!

My husband was a good sport BBQing in the cold and it started to snow yesterday morning...
This morning we woke up to this!
A winter wonderland!
Love the snow!

Happy Monday!

End of the week

End of the week ahhhh. Friday!!! Love Friday's well 5pm on Fridays to be exact. Weekends rock! :)
I'm loving, loving watching the Olympics and I am going to miss watching it when it's over on Sunday :( I've never been a sporty person so when I see these athletes with soo much passion in what they are doing, it makes me feel soo inspired and I feel like I'm there with them. Zoe obviously loves hockey the most ahahahah. Canada so far has 8 Gold, 6 Silver and 3 Bronze.
Joannie Rochette won Bronze in ladies figure skating today and I was just tearing up when she accepted her award. Amazing.

Tonight we are expecting lots of snow and we are getting 3 days straight of snow. I guess we had it really good with only a few days of snow and not that much this year.

...We have not had this yet... ahha!
Eeeek 2008 at our old house and street parking was no fun!!!

First snow fall!

Today we woke up to snow! Our first snow fall of the season! Surprisingly we had no snow all November which usually is not ever the case. When I woke up and saw the snow I wished I had the day off and be home drinking hot chocolate in my pj's in front of the fire place... ahhh how I wish!

My goals have not been good lately. But, I have been having healthy wraps everyday for lunch and it's been working out well so far.
I've been really really tired and exhausted after work everyday so I haven't been working out at all! ;( So I'm not doing a weigh in this week, just to be safe ha!

Can't wait for the weekend!
