Baby M's Baptism

Sunday we celebrated a very special day!

Baby M's baptism. Joining us in our Catholic faith.

We chose a special couple, cousins of mine to be his Godparents. We are so blessed and thankful to have them in our life and now even closer to our family.

I loved the message our Deacon had for us. He loved seeing a church full of family and friends coming together to see their loved ones getting baptized. There were about 10 babies getting baptized Sunday. The whole church was just filled with so much love.

That morning our family came over to dress baby M in his special outfit.

Our tradition is That the Godparents dress him.

His Godparents got him his first Gold necklace with a cross. Just beautiful.

Little k was all dressed up to celebrate his little brother too!

It was such a fun morning!

Baptism time!

Our friends and family were all there to witness baby M's baptism.

After baby M's was blessed with holy water, my husband held a candle to the alter.

It was a beautiful day.

After the ceremony we all headed to the restsurant to celebrate!

Baptism planning!

Now that little k's birthday has passed we can now focus on baby M's baptism!

The church is booked!

Then it was time to choose the godparents for our little boy!

We chose our cousins! These 2 were married just over a year ago and have been together for many years before that!

They are genuine, kind hearted people that follow their faith as best as they can.

They will be great role models for baby M as they already are for little K as big cousins!

To ask them, I made these cards. The Godfather and the fairy godmother, with a sweet poem attached.

We are blessed to have them in our lives and so happy they accepted this role!

Now let's plan this celebration!

Late weekend post

We had a great weekend!

We had more furniture come in! The house is slowly getting completed. We still need a lot of items for decor but it's coming together!

I need to take better pics! Ha!

For now, all I've got are the ones of little K.

This fifth room, open to the hallway (pics to come in another post) is the best room . Little k loves it! All his toys in one place. And a sofa and TV for us if he end up there too!

This is our sitting area off the dining room (better pics to come) but we used that carpet in the play room instead. I'll get a round carpet for that room. We are stil waiting for the coffee table to come in.

The good thing is, that all our furniture in the dining room matches our chandlier from the old house. So we will install that this weekend!

On the weekend we also had my cousins baptism.

It was a beautiful ceremony and party afterwards at a delicious restaurant that I definitely want to go back to for dinner soon!

The church was the same church little k was baptized. It made me start thinking of our new little one to come. I'll be planning a baptism by the end of the year!

We have a few couples in mind. People that are close and genuinely love our children. Treat us and our children with respect and of course meet the churches criteria as well as our own. Living their lives and raising their own children as catholic.
