Last day of work and summertime fun!

Yay! My maternity leave has begun!

Friday was my last day. I can't tell you how good this morning feels not having to drag myself up and out for the commute into work!

Friday wasn't really a work day, it was longcoffee breaks and lunch breaks with the great people I work with. Then off early to begin my maternity leave.

Oh! And the last day of summer camp for little k! He will be off with me for the summer! But then to a new school in
September so there was some sad goodbyes Friday too :(

Then the weekend! It was a long weekend, August civic holiday!

We planned a jammed packed weekend. Could be the last before baby ha!

First up. A little bbq party at our place.
We have no fences in our backyard yet so we put up a tent and some tables and had a great time. The kids loved having access to the neighbors play set too!

Lots of fun! The party went on to 230am!

The next day we had more fun planned. My aunt and uncles annual summer pool party!

Ok, being in the water pregnant is the best feeling!!!! When I was floating in the deeper end holding on to the noodle I felt my joints loosen up and not feel so stiff. My body felt Sooo relaxed!

Always the best time with family!

Our family is growing Soo much!!!

With 7 of us grandchildren and almost 6 grandchildren, with many more to come!
Can't wait to see how filled this pool is in the next 5-10years! Ha!

The next day we still had a more fun planned! A beach day!!! We found a beach only an hour away. A perfect place with a playground for the kids and clean water to play in!

The kids had a blast! We will be making this a summer tradition with family.

Cousin love! And at least 2 more cousins to be joining here :) next year baby Michael will be in this wagon!

Hope you all had a great weekend too!!!

First day of my maternity leave and patiently waiting for baby Michael!

We are all so excited to meet him!!!

Number one rule in pool safety with kids...

Stay within an arms reach! That's the number one rule in pool safety that was taught to us in last years CPR course.

This weekend we went over to my aunts house for a swim. The whole way driving there I was a little nervous. Last summer baby K didn't walk yet so he was in my arms at all times. This year he is walking and running all over it's hard to keep him close! The whole drive there I repeated in my head... Don't let your eyes off him! Not even for a second! I remembered the number one rule in water safety to keep kids in an arms reach of you.  While there I didn't even need to mention my fears out loud, my family is amazing and every single one of them had their eyes on Kris.. not only because he's a cutie ha! But for his safety. I never let my eyes off him and stayed close!

This summer will be full of water fun I'm sure and baby K loves the water so the second rule I want to add is a life jacket for baby K when walking around a pool/beach area. I bought a swimsuit with an attached floaty in it, that will definitely be this summers bathing suit.

Praying for everyone to have a safe and fun summer!

My Baby boy or should I say big boy

Baby K hasn't reached the weight or length capacity yet for his infant carseat, but it has for me. Boy was it getting heavy!

We had got the evenflo symphony 65 3 in 1 carseat as a shower gift so decided to install it yesterday.

I find it so hard to use the straps, it took me 15 minutes to tighten the straps to have only 2 fingers space between baby and strap. I find it awkward and hard to put baby in and out of. But maybe any carseat would be hard placing a baby in and out of. One thing I hate is at the safest recline allowed baby still seems upright. Allowing his head to flop. Not cool.
Does this happen with all carseats?

This causes mommy stress haha.

On another note while out today I bought my big boy a little pool for the backyard. I'm sure he will just love it! Can't wait to try it out!

Soo glad the weekend is here!
