Weekend fun on a island

Saturday we went to an amusement park. We took a ferry to centerville for a day of fun!

Kris loved being on the boat, he was soo excited!

We saw some animals.

Sat on a tractor.

We did a lot of walking!

It was a beautiful fall day.

The best part of the weekend was when little K turned to me and said I WUV U!
He's repeated it and signed it before but it was the first time he turned to me out of the blue and said it to ME!

Little K 23 months! He turns 2 in 1 month!!! Where has the time gone!

Approaching the terrible twos!

One month away from turning 2!!!

This little man is letting us know that he is almost 2 and ready to take on the world ha!

Mr meltdown let's you know when he's upset. He'll scream, cry and throw himself to the floor kicking and screaming and looking over to make sure we are paying attention ha!

Little K is loving daycare. He still cried when we hit the driveway, but once he's there he is happy. And our provider has only good things to say about him. ;) the other day she said she is very impressed with all the colors he has learned. And asked if I knew! Of course! I taught him! I'm just glad he is having good days at daycare and is happy!

Beautiful fall days

Who doesn't like fall! The weather is soo nice!

Yesterday we played in the backyard and Kristian as usual is fascinated with Mother Nature. He was picking up leaves, smelling the flowers, listening to the leaves rustling in the wind. He loves being ouseye (outside) as he says it.

Minus the smiley cookies we had ;) we also are getting back to healthy juicing. We stopped for no reason the last couple weeks.

But even though we love fall, we don't love flu season. So getting those extra nutrients is so important!

I made one juice for Kris and made another juice for myself but I ended up mixing the 2 for me ha!

Out usual that Kris loves:
Bunch of kale
1 carrot
1 apple

I give him half juice mixed with half water.

So I poured the rest in with the juice I made.

2 celery stalks
1 carrot
And a bunch of parsley.

I wasn't a fan of the celery in my juice. So I won't be doing that juice any time soon ha!

A pat on the back, mom.

Whoa whoa whoa! How many ah ha moments until the big ah ha moment! Ha!

I've been really soul searching lately and uncovering a lot of deep experiences that has made me who I am today. It's painful and tough to touch on some experiences of the past. But with looking within I'm uncovering a new me. An awareness of the old me and how I want the new me to be with a balance.

Having a child really brings out a lot if different emotions. Ones that sneak up on you in different situations.  So I now know the meaning behind life learning.

This little boy is my light. My everything.
Seeing him go off to daycare today waving, saying bye bye and blowing me a kiss just melted my heart!

Us moms don't give ourselves enough pats on the backs. We usually kick ourselves down when we think we've done something wrong. Let's face it, some days I feel like I've done everything wrong!

Today I gave myself a pat on the back.

Seeing my little independent 23 month old say bye to me this morning with a smile and ready to take on his day with confidence, I know I did some things right :)

So moms! Let's pat ourselves on the back today for doing a great job! We ARE doing a great job!

First fall weekend

We had a very relaxed weekend. We totally needed it.

We did a little shopping
So glad our grocery store has these car carts. Kristian loves it.
Saturday we shopped for a Halloween costume and a new airplane! Well rocket!

Kristian loves airplanes. The second he hears one he stops to look up and yells Aplay Aplay.

We also did some cleaning.
Although the house never stays clean for longer than a minute with a toddler full of crumbs ha!

We played outside, but it's getting pretty chilly!

And bubbles are needed when outside.

We cooked a little.
Black bean soup with pork. Yummy and perfect for this chilly weather!
We all loved it and ate it all up this weekend!

We had a fun relaxed weekend spending time together as a family ;) Zoe included ha! Kristian is obsessed with Zoe. He's always looking for her, playing with her, giving her kisses. It's cute!

Hope you all had a nice weekend too!
