Fun Wedding Filled Day!

Today was the Canadian Bridal Show DT Toronto. So a group of us went down to support my sister in her wedding planning. I'm her MOH and sooo excited to be part of her wedding. My sister was my MOH as well 3 years ago and we had a blast and we will have a blast all over again!

We had so much fun... I love my girls and we always enjoy each others company.

We were my sisters little assistants. Asking questions, filing out contest ballots and we helped with cake tasting too.

And whats going DT without having street meat!

On the way back home the girls wanted to watch my wedding video. So I pulled it out and we watched it. It brought back so many wonderful memories. My wedding day was the BEST DAY of my life!

So I pulled out my wedding dress and my cousins and sister tried it on aahhah!

My sister tucked in the straps and loves this look for her dress, so now we have an idea of what to go out and look for!

Look how great the dress looks on them! Love it!

And guess what movie was on tonight... BrideWars hahahh! Great movie and a perfect movie to end the wedding filled day!

So now in a year and a half my sister and her fiance will be the ones in the middle!

A walk in nature

Tonight I went down to the city. My sister and I went for a walk in High Park. We walked for about an hour and a half. It was a great work out. I wore my easytones and I just know I will feel it tomorrow.

This little guy joined us for a little while, following us around until we got pretty freaked out and ran away from it ha!

It was such a beautiful night for a walk too.

I decided to really revamp my workouts this summer and will be getting into it next week. I'll blog about it when I come up with my new schedule. I also decided to buy ROLLER BLADES! Yippy! I'm getting them this weekend. I need to focus my attention on other things or I will make myself crazy... and focusing on exercise will help in more ways than one! :)

Home is where my heart is!

I'm off work this week and home with Zoe! Is it strange that I absolutely LOVE being home? I am the most happiest and most in my element when I'm home. This morning I dropped off husband at work, grabbed a coffee and came home. As I was driving I was also thinking how I hate the city... Now, I'm a Toronto girl born and raised and just moved just north of the city to Vaughan. Everyone thought I would hate it, but I love it. And wish I never had to travel down to the city ha! I read many blogs and many blogger friends live in small towns and I usually get the feeling that I wish I lived in a small town too. HMM small town, staying home... What is happening? Is this me being anti social? Or just loving "me" time, quiet time...Well I won't think too far into it. I will just enjoy my week off and I look forward to 2010!

I just noticed a blogger friend gave me an award today! So exciting! Since I am home I will post my award up later this afternoon.

I'm off to run some errands and meet a friend for lunch... ahhh loving this. ;)

Tornado in Toronto!

Pic from here
Last evening around 6pm we noticed the dark skies in our area of Vaughan just north of Toronto. Husband and I left our home in Vaughan to head downtown Toronto right at the start of the storm, as we drove out of our street we noticed an accident. Lightening hit the light post and the light post fell on a mini van, from what we could see I think everyone got out safe.

But this was the start of the storm, I do not think anyone new what was coming next!

So we headed south and we can see in the rear view mirror the flashes of lightening and loud thunder. Once we were off the hwy the storm caught up with us. Sky was black wind was strong and rain was so hard cars were pulling over and stopping. Then my phone was ringing off the hook, my mom, sister, cousins, friends calling to see if we were home safe and that tornado's were hitting our area in Vaughan. We turned on the news and heard about the horrible disaster this storm left our city with. We waited until the storm calmed and rushed home. Luckily our home was not damaged, but we drove just a couple blocks away and homes were destroyed.

We are all praying so much for all the families that lost their homes and were injured. To see the full story Read it here
