Weightloss goals

I'm 7lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight. Sounds good, but I actually have a goal to drop much more than that! 25lbs is my real goal.

With 2 kids and always on the go, I need easy lifestyle changes. Following a plan that I set and forget!

Which I have been doing. Changes that the whole family benefits from as well.

My pressure cooker has been a big help in this process too. Healthy hearty soups and chillis, chicken and rice dishes. Yum!

To help me get an extra workout in,I joined a stroller fit class that begins Thursday! I'm excited for that! I joined when I had little k back in 2012. So im happy  to do it again.

I just hope baby M likes the stroller, he's not the biggest fan of them.

We have been practicing in the house. Ha!

Saturday we are going to the Baseball game! New runners and new backpack were needed for this event ha!

Also excited for upcoming soccer
games.

Love my little guys!

And look at how busy baby M has been!

I say he'll be walking by 10 months! Let's see!
Seriously a cutey pie!

New year goal setting

It's that time again! Beginning of a new year! Perfect time to reflect on the past year and make goals for the new year ahead. The husband and I re-write our goals every year. From personal growth, family, healthy living, career and financial goals.

Some goals for this year and in no particular order, are:

Being a better mother. There's always improvement in this job ha! I always feel I could do more or do things different. I want to raise respectful independent boys with big hearts full of love. I want to show them so many things! Every night I go to bed thinking about how I could be better the next day.

Just love these boys Sooo much!

2016 here will be about healthy! Healthy living! Healthy eating! For all of us!

Baby M is now on solids and im soo excited to make his baby food. Big brother loves a wide range of foods and I hope that baby M follows in those same footsteps. So introducing superfoods at an early stage to help ensure he loves the taste of healthy!

Small changes. We are not making big changes to diet or anything. But instead small changes that are easy to apply and therefore becomes part of our lifestyle. ---- Juicing every weekend
- using our pressure cooker for many meals (blog post on this soon) make healthy meals quick and easy and one pot clean up which is great being a mom of 2! Like this chicken soup in 30mins that the whole family loved!

-30min workouts twice a week
- drink more green tea less coffee
-cooking with coconut oil
-exfoliate and moisturize daily
-drink more water

Just a few things we are doing to get healthy!

Other goals include going to church with the kids more often. Giving back more. Being less wasteful. Conserving energy. Saving more. Traveling more. Making a vision board for our future. My list goes on and on ha.

Little K is understanding the concept of money more and more. From very early on I would talk to him about money and saving in his piggy bank and how much things cost when we purchase. Lately he's been asking more questions about it. So a new thing we are doing is having him put money he gets into his piggybank. Then making him choose between toys that he wants and purchasing them with the money he saved. We were amazed to see how he was going back and forth trying to decide which of the 3 toys he wanted, and choosing one and knowing he will pay for it himself. Ha! Little k has financial goals.

But that's a lesson for all of us too.

What are your 2016 goals!?

Summer time summer time fun

I don't want summer to be over!!!!!!!!

It's so nice heading to a park for some fun right after dinner.

Running around looking for dinosaurs ha! Little k's new obsession.

Taking some selfies while we are at it ha!

But little k got a few mosquito bites which he was not so happy about :/

Today my sister and I went down to our old neighborhood to workout! There will be a month gap of when our home closes and new home will be ready, so we will be staying at my moms. I'm actually pretty excited to go back to the  old neighborhood, it will always feel like home :)

Ha! We had so much fun chatting, laughing  and exercising.
Hahaa!!!

This week I think I did pretty good in my diet plan. I slipped up a couple times but over all ate healthy and watched my portions! Drank lots of water, less coffee ;)

I'll do a weigh in Saturday morning!

Getting back on track...again.

Sigh. Watch my diet... Don't watch my diet... Watch... Don't watch... Ughh

I'm getting back on track! Again!

Since I started work I've been buying lunch pretty much every single day! I have been choosing healthier choices but many of the choices involve bread and more bread that I do not need. When selling our home we had to be out of the house a lot. Eating out a lot! We do enjoy going to restaurants as a family but I definitely need to keep my goals in mind!

So today I made a yummy grilled chicken salad for today's dinner and tomorrow's lunch!
All organic veggies! Yum!

I have a 20lbs weight loss goal I want to achieve by the new year! My last 20lbs of baby weight. I have more than one reason why I neeeed to achieve this goal by the new year! So hopefully all those reasons push me along!

Some diet changes that started today!
Only 1 coffee no sugar a day
Water water and more water
Cut as many carbs and sugars as I can!
Portion control, especially at dinner.
2xweek workouts (I know this should be more, but it's hard to find the time!!! So I'll continue with 2x)

Target areas: hips and thighs

Project let's get fit is on!

Me 7 years ago! Ohhhh how I want that body back! Ha! I remember trying to lose 20lbs that time too. Sigh.

Some 2014 goals

I have a long list of goals for 2014. I haven't sorted them all out just yet. I'm kinda overwhelmed with my list too.

The simple yearly ones are things like:
Drop 20lbs or more! Which included weekly working out and healthy diet choices.
Attend mass more often
Be more organized
Be more focused on what I want
Do what makes me happy. Whatever that may be :)
Spend more time with my family now that I'm going back to work Monday!

Others include
Potty train K this year!
Sell the house this spring and move!
Join a meditation class.

And some other personal and financial goals I have too. I'll be working on my vision board soon too.

2013 I was blessed to have stayed home an extra year with my little guy. He has taught me so much this year. Watching him grow and learn new things these past two years of him in my life has been the best years of my life. He makes my world complete, I loveeee my little guy and seeing him so independent these days makes me proud yet sad at how fast he really is growing up.

Tomorrow I'm back to work full-time and little K loves his daycare.

The husband and I have a new routine schedule of drop off and pick up and I'm hoping it all goes smoothly! Wish us luck!

The one thing about back to work that was exciting was shopping for new clothes! I spent a lot more than I expected but hey, it's a new year, new job, new goals, new everything ;)

Here are some outfits I got! Not the best pics but...

(Minus the red bra haha oops)

(Eyes closed ;)

I bought 3 pairs of pants, 3 skirts, 8 tops, 3 sweaters, 1 pair of shoes. Whoo!

Hope you all have a great Monday!

2013 goals vision board!

2013 goals... I still haven't fully written them out. I usually do every first week of January, I've been doing that for years! But this year all 22 days of it has been so hectic.

I looked over my last years goals and I have achieved 5 of goals I wrote down. Which made me feel great. Yay!

Instead of writing my goals this year I decided that I will put my goals with pictures on my vision board. That way I can take a look at them everyday! I'm getting to work on that today!

One goal that I will discuss weekly on my blog is weight loss goals. Daily lifestyle changes/goals.

Life is different with a little one, more busy, less sleep, less time for things like working out. Balancing it all can get a little crazy and you always need room to tweak and adjust the routine because let's face it the baby makes the rules here ha!

Here are my simply put daily goals:

Eating healthy- home cooking
Adding things like daily probiotics, chia seeds, and cooking with coconut oil and olive oil.

Juicing weekly for added nutrients
Exercise 2-3x a week
Increase daily water intake.

Mini goal- to drop 10lbs by spring.

Seems easy enough right ;)

Burnt out and time to boost energy!

I'm feeling burnt out! The past 2 months of juggling family and work and being sick every other week has me totally burnt out! I can hardly think straight!

This weekend I plan to re-evaluate my goals... I've been saying that for the last month, but I've been so tired I keep forgetting ha!

What do I want for 2013? I'm not exactly sure yet! I'm hoping to make this all clear this weekend!

When I bought the book The Happiness project, I started it, then decided to leave it till January... Well it's January now.

The first chapter "boost energy"

Very fitting for my mood these days.

I'm on it! Happy weekend!

A late New Years post

Things have been a little upside down here. So I haven't had a chance to really put my New Years resolutions together. That to come! Lifestyle changes to come in many areas of my life. I'm looking forward to many changes in 2013!

New Years Eve we spend at my sisters house with family. It was fun and the kids had a blast together.

We started the new year with being sick already ;( we are home today cuddling and resting.

So glad it's Friday tomorrow!

A year on hold... what goals?

I'm not sure if any other mom feels the same sometimes, but I feel like my life has been on hold since little one arrived. Of course now with my beautiful son in our lives things have changed, the first year especially takes your everything as you are taking care of this new little person, learning too and enjoying every moment. I always said that my little one comes first no matter what! But I do see that we need some balance. I read many blogs and I see the mom's that seem to have it all together and I think, how!!! Some days I feel stuck and there's so much to do that I do nothing at all ha!

Last night I was reading my blog profile and I didn't even recognize my own writing haha! I use to do that?... and that?.. oh ya! I totally forgot who I was before I became a mom! I want baby K to see that side of me too! Not just being his mommy part! :)

So here I am trying to find that balance! Getting back to my goals. Weight loss goals, travel goals, self improvement goals, family goals, dream goals! This is my blog... Growing towards a dream! And this year of learning to be a mom (which is life learning ha!) is all part of growing towards my dreams too!

My friend over at That Extra 20 Pounds blogged about the Happiness Project. So I decided to buy the book last night on my ipad :) and I can't wait to get started!

My goal this month is to start slowly with balancing all areas in my life.

How do you balance it all?

Fun weekend cute pics!

This weekend was full of fun. Saturday my sister and I shopped all day for baby K's upcoming baptism. I bought centerpieces for the restaurant. I love them! Only 4 weeks away!

Yesterday we had family and friends over to watch the Italy and Spain soccer game. Some of us going for Italy and some going for spain. Good thing they tied 1-1 haha!

It's Monday and baby boy woke up early, it's going to be a long day!

I'm thinking of my Monday goals and I want to continue the same as last week.

1.daily walks
2.limit drive thru (it's impossible to fully stop the drive thru)
3. Drink more water, less coffee. Drinking 2 coffee's a day has given me insomnia which is no fun.

It's a warm day and I can't wait to go for a walk this morn!

Happy Monday!

Weekly goals and 39 pounds down!

I weighed myself this morning and I was only down 1 pound. In total I'm down 39 pounds! I am breaking up my weightloss goals in 5-10 pound mini goals. So I'm focusing on the next 5-10 pounds to lose.

I wrote out 3 goals on Monday. 1. Daily walks 2. No drive thru and 3. More water.

I did pretty well. I did however go to the drive thru twice, the coffee drive thru's. It's really hard not to! but glad to say I had nooo fast food at all. It's sad that this is a goal to begin with blah!

Overall I made breakfast lunch and dinner at home all week! Yay!! Even made whole wheat banana loafs for desserts!

I also bought new really cute coffee mugs this week to go with my dessert ha! ;)

Baby boy had new meals this week too. He tried chicken and butternut squash mix... He wasn't a fan haha. I'll keep trying.

Monday I'll post my next weeks goals to focus on. :)

Have a great weekend!

Goals for the week

Before I got pregnant I would write out my weekly goals on my blog. I started doing fitness Friday a couple months ago with fellow bloggers too. So this weekend I decided to get back on track with my Monday weekly goal posts.

This week I want to focus on these 3 goals.

1. Daily walks, I want to head out everyday for a walk (we just came back from a 45min walk!)

2. No drive thru! Where I live I'm surrounded by drive thru's! I admit I go through them often now that I have a baby and sometimes it's easier to pick up dinner or coffee at a window haha!. So this week my goal is nooooo drive thru's! Let's see how I do eek!

3. More water intake. This is always an issue for me. I don't drink much water. So I want to make sure I have a glass of water with every meal and water in my tumbler thingy taking lots of water in!

I'm totally focused this week! I'll be tweeting my daily accomplishments too!

What are your diet goals this week?

Blog post New items and dropping weight

My house has been neglected since baby boy came into our lives. I have a list of things I still want to change and purchase for our home. Seems like there is no extra time!

The other night I bought a new art piece for the dining room and a new carpet for the front door ;)

I still want to get some accent chairs for the dining room and my bedroom!

(pics may not be in order, using blogging app)

I did a weigh in today and dropped 2lbs. Must be the 2-3 hour Breastfeeding schedule baby boy is back on these days. In total I have dropped 34lbs!!! Yippy!

I haven't been good with watching what I eat, I still have a major sweet tooth, but I try my best to eat healthy so baby boy is getting lots of nutrients!

I eat 1 avocado a day! I love avocados and once baby is ok with cereals, his first fruit will be an avocado!

What's your favorite fruit/veggie?
