Valentine's & Family Day!

It was family day long weekend here and of course Valentine's Day too! 

Friday baby M and I spent the day at the mall with my sister. The big kids at school/daycare. 

It was nice to shop in the mall without the big kids, ha! 

Perfect start to the long weekend.

We had family fun all weekend! 

Saturday the cousins were together all day. 

They enjoy eachothers company and they were all hyped on V day chocolates.

And Baby M is 6 months!! What! More on that tomorrow!

3 Valentines! I'm soo lucky to have 3 Valentines! I was a happy mama this long weekend with all the love and 

cuddles. 

Sunday we took the kids to the science center. This was little k's second time here. He came last year on a school trip.

We watched the space movie in the IMAX theatre. 

Which made me nauseous haha but the boys loved it.

He learned so many new things.  We can't wait to go back. He wouldn't stop talking about it after we left. He loved learning about space which he's also learning about in school so he was paying close attention to that. He loved the skeletons and learning about the digestive system, electricity and weather and so much more. Just a great day for learning. 

Yesterday we spent family day indoors. 

We played games, watched movies, baked, bathed haha we thought it would be fun to have a big bubble bath in the middle of the afternoon. The kids were soo happy! 

Little k usually hates haircuts. He refuses to go to a hairdresser. So I usually trim it with scissors myself. Yestersay we asked if we could try the shaving machine...he said ok. Ha! So we did this! 

Not bad! Considering im not a hairdresser haha!

Burr it's cold outside!

Ok we can't really complain that much. We've had a pretty mild winter, but burrrrr today it's freezing!!! 

Mardi Gras carnival event at school this week. Did you have these events at school when you were young? I remember begging my mom for money for a croissant and hot chocolate ha! Playing fun games in the school yard too. It was fun, little k will enjoy it too!

Tomorrow he will bring some Valentine's Day treats to school! We put them together yesterday. 

Some pinterest ideas for the teachers too. Gift card for coffee/donut.

I wrote in the card: 

Donut I'd do without a teacher like you! 

Ha cute huh. 

Baby M has his first ear infection. :( 

We are all too familar with these! Little k had bad ear infections his first 3 years and since the tubes were placed in his ears he hasn't had one since!

I hope baby M doesn't get these often, they are Soo painful. Especially when the  pressure causes a hole in the eardrum for release :( we are on antibiotics for 10 days. 

Sunday he will be 6 months! Second child just rushes through all stages Huh! He's already trying to lift to sitting position and he can almost crawl too! 

He is such a sweet baby with a happy calm personality! 

Ha! New sunglasses for our upcoming trip.

This weekend is also family day long weekend!

Oh! Just noticed I didn't blog about super bowl sunday! Did you have a party for the game? We do every year. Just a small get together to watch and enjoy some yummy food!

This year I made ribs and chilli dogs! My sister made the pizza. Mm mm! They were a big hit for a fun evening! 

February!

I can't believe how fast the days are going by! 

Already Feb5th! 

We have been pretty busy here! And also been dealing with some off and on colds! 

Friday we finally got our backsplash installed! I went crazy trying to decide 

But I'm so happy with the choice we made. 

We did a marble subway tile and then a mosaic marble design in the middle. The exact  look I was going for. Perfect for our kitchen. Looks even better in person.

Last weekend was full of yummy eating out ha! 

Sushi! We ran into little k's JK teachers there too! Ha!

Mm quesadilla's and burritos! Soo good! 

I always get the shrimp burrito with guacamole and refried beans stuffed with other veggies and cheese!  Ahhhhh!

These 2 are hilarious!  brother snuggles!

Ha! We are always soo happy to see daddy after work. Mommy more because I need a break sometimes! 

Sunday we went to church and it was all about this passage. <3 I read this passage at my cousins wedding a couple years ago. It's always been one of my favorite ones.

Monday was my dads birthday. He would have been 60 years old :(

Little k had a PA day. I told my mom to take the day off so we could go to the mall and have lunch together. 

We shopped a little and then went for lunch! 

Little man loves sushi and steak and they had an entree just for that! And calamari our favorite!

The boys love their grandma and we were happy to put a smile on her face.

The restaurant was playing some of my dads favorite songs. Mom was getting a little emotional. It was like a sign to us that he knew we were celebrating his birthday. :) 

Then we spent some time at my grandparents house. We call them super Nonna and super nonno. How blessed are the kids having such great, great grandparents that love them sooooo much! 

In their 80's and still preping meals. 

The end of season sales are getting better and better. Bought these Vince Camuto boots for 70% off. 

DH began working on my shoe closet. 

Our spare room has 2 closets, perfect! I claim them! Ha!

It Still needs some work and I still have shoes in boxes from our move! DH asked why I always say I need shoes haha! Ughhhhh we can never have too many shoes! 

It's the weekend already! 

February is jammed backed with birthdays! Yay!!! 

End of season...

I'm so lucky that we have 1 year maternity leave in Canada with the government talking about extending it to 18 months. How great would that be for future parents. Spending as much time as we can with our babies is so special. I love being home with my kids and running the household. :) my boys just melt my heart! I know I say that everyday! But they doooo. 

Lately baby M has been taking 3 hour morning naps. So I've been getting a lot of errands done in the morning. Today I decided to get dressed up and hit the mall. Since most days consist of wearing tights and shirts with spit up haha. 

New boots. Scored for a great deal. 70%off! Oh how I love end of season sales. I love that it's a thicker heel. Instead of wearing my other flat boots or stiletto boots, this is a perfect casual in between!

Little batman loves my necklace ha! It's from Stella and Dot it's my go to necklace for everyday. It can be dressed up or down and worn 5 different ways to add different looks! I love it! 

Back to sales. There are some awesome end of season sales. Which has me in stores and online everyday! Yikes! some of the deals are too good to pass up!

4 year old check up

Friday my little guy had his 4 year old checkup. 

The doctor predicts a 5 10, 150lbs adult haha tall and slim he said.

Mr K is currently 33lbs, size 4T clothes and size 11 shoes. 

He told me that 4 year olds don't need much to get full and I don't need to be forcing him to eat more. He will eat when he's hungry and some days won't be hungry at all.

Overall he is a great eater. He eats a variety of foods... He's not a big carb eater but a plate of chicken and his favorite veggies and fruit he will eat all up! 

He was happy and excited to see his doctor. His conversation with the doctor was mostly about his baby brother. He couldn't wait to tell doctor all about him. ️Adorable. 

He didn't know that he would be getting 2 vaccines :( 

I held him close and he got both needles. He was upset that he didn't expect the little pinch. 

Then said he doesn't need to see the doctor ever again, oh boy. 

On our way out we went to the pharmacy and he picked a kitkat and smarties to make him feel better. 

At 4 years old you are into many things! 

Starwars and transformers are at the top of the list! You love the color changing hot wheels! You are still into dinosaurs and other superheroes. You love dressing up in your power ranger costume and Darth Vader costume. 

You are doing great at school and love going! 

You always eat your lunch which makes my job easy. 

You are learning and growing up fast! 

You always crack us up with the things you say. You have the best sense of humour and we are always playing tricks on eachother which is so fun.

You are the best big brother. You help me all the time and love entertaining little bro. 

We love you sooo much! 

The rest of the weekend was so much fun! 

We spent Saturday downtown and had burgers for lunch! 

The kids had their cuteness radar on high and were getting everyone's attention 

People were telling us how cute they were! Michael wouldn't stop looking at one young couple ha! 

Yesterday morning I left little k and daddy watching movies and Michael  and I went with my sister to the salon my cousin works at for a haircut!

Michael slept the whole time which was great. And we got new do's 

I just did a little trim but Soo needed to make my hair feel healthy again.
