Potty time!

Yes this is the most exciting thing happening right now. Potty training! Well little k has been on and off potty training since he was 2! When I thought he was really getting it  he decided to forget about it. So I left if alone until he was closer to 3. He would go sometimes but other times would full out refuse and say "no I don't want to" or "mommy will clean diaper" haha well finally at just a bit after 3 years old this little man is fully potty trained! All on his own! Well help from us giving him little gifts when he did start going on his own. We did that a couple times and that's it. No more diapers! He was ready when he was ready!

He even wakes a couple times at night when he has to pee! I wasn't expecting that!

I'm so proud! Little k has always been like that! We can't force him to do things he doesn't want to do! But when he's ready he's ready and he puts his all in it!

He's now fully ready for school next month!

Our kids totally surprise us don't they!

We had a fun weekend out and about.

First we tried to get a haircut but that didn't work out ha! But a walk in the mall with his little cousin made for a fun Saturday morning.

Friday night was date night. Dinner and a movie. We decided to go to red lobster, omg we haven't been there in years!

We then caught a late movie. American Sniper. It was such a good movie. The theatre was silent when it was over not a word as people exited the theatre. Watch it!

Today the weather was better so we went for a little walk in the park before running some errands.
Weekend is over, another tired Monday ahead! Haha!

Weekend fun!

Sushi lunch! So fun watching little man concentrate on using chopsticks to pick up 1 pea at a time haha
His favorite at sushi lunch was; edamame, veggie rice, avocado/cucumber rolls, tempura crab and veggies, and miso soup! Yum!

We also had a cousins 2nd birthday party which was a blast for the kids.

Little K loves being with all his cousins. He asks for them all daily! We just don't get to see eachother enough, but when we do, there's lasting memories of fun and warm love.

Of course little k ran so fast to blow out those candles. Oh boy.

And at the end of the night, pj's on and story time from Tia.

Total cuteness!

3 year old doctor checkup!

Last week little K had his 3 year doctor appt.

He was excited to see the doctor. As soon as his doctor came in, he HAD to tell him all about his dinosaurs haha and started naming a whole bunch.
Little mans height and weight are perfect. He's 30lbs right on.

He even did an eye exam! I wish I took pictures. He was so good listening to the
optometrist and answering his questions about the pictures he was pointing out. Well, perfect vision he has so we are good!

Next is his ear checkup in a couple weeks. Ear infections are still a common thing around here :( less than when he was younger and hopefully he will soon grow out of it.

I took the whole day off to spend it with my little man. We also went to see 2 preschools.

Little K loved visiting the 2 schools and seeing all the kids. Both schools were very good and an option. We narrowed it down to one Montessori school we think little k will love.

So he will be starting there in a couple months. Big changes for my little man but I know he will love it!

We are all so excited!

2015! New Years Eve fun

Sooo another year has come and gone. Thank you 2014 for all the new and overcome challenges, making me into a stronger and better person today than I ever have been. I'm clearer on my path. Clearer on love and acceptance and clearer on my beliefs and values.
I have big plans for 2015 and I'm excited as I work daily towards them. My blog is growing towards a dream and really that's the motto for my life. I've been through so many adversities in my life and I've only used that all to grow into a better person. So my life isn't just growing toward " A" dream. It's a life long growing towards our dreams as a family. My little family.
We may not always have it together, but together WE have EVERYTHING!

That's not our usual attire though ha!

That was New Year's Eve fun!

New Year's Eve we spent at my brothers new home with family and friends. It was great because the kids had eachother to have fun. We always need to think of what will give them a good time too! :)

The kids had such a fun time.

As did us adults!

Ha! Us being silly with our niece sharing her apple juice.

New Year's Eve selfies!

We played fun games and had a great night!

Happy 2015 to you all!

Christmas fun!

Christmas fun and 4 days off!

Wednesday night we had Christmas Eve at my aunts house. We usually have Christmas Eve at my grandparents house but our family is expanding and their house is getting squishy!

My aunt and cousins went all out!

Santa was there! Santa came with gifts for the littles! We played games ate delicious food and enjoyed eachothers company!

Lots of pics!

Before midnight we make chestnuts! Little k helped!

Then it was 4 days off to relax and spend time with family. It included lots of shopping, lots of movies and lots of sleeping in! Ha!

Oh but first Christmas morning! Little k fell asleep on the way home so he had a pile of gifts to open Christmas morning.

We had fun opening gifts.

Oh and the toys that were a big hit! 1. Leapfrog reader. 2. That race car in the pic above. 3. Zoomer Dino!

Christmas Day we took little k to the movie theatre to watch Penguins of Madagascar! He loved it! He was so good watching the movie and eating his popcorn. He was a little chatter box tho but it was the cutest!

Then we drove by a street that had Santa's all over! Ha!

Today we are trying to get back on schedule! Everyday we were up late and slept in!

We let little k stay up playing every night until he crashed on the sofa. But how cute is he!

Today he was in bed at 8 sharp! We have a early morning!

Hope you all had a happy holiday!!

Weekend fun with friends and family

This weekend was all about Christmas!
Meeting up with family and friends to exchange gifts and catch up! We don't get to see eachother often, but we all make the effort during the holidays.

Saturday we finished up our Christmas shopping. We didn't stay out too long because we had a work Christmas party to attend to downtown!

We have been going to these Christmas parties since 2004!  It was so great to catch up with friends. We were all equally happy to see eachother during the holidays.

I was exhausted by the time we got home, I was sooo happy to see my bed ha!

Sunday morning we got to sleep in a bit before heading out to a friends house.

These little cuties got to open the gifts they got eachother. We are so blessed to have such great friends.

The kids had a blast opening the gifts!

The girls got to catch up and the guys, well. They were taking their body measurements for custom made suits! It was serious business!!

Then when we left one friends house we went to another which was only 5 mins away which was great.

The kids got to play and the adults chatted about everything and anything. Lots of food and lots of fun! A great holiday get together. I haven't seen some of these friends for years, but we all just picked up where we left off. That's true genuine relationships.

Little k loves being with his friends. And they love being with him. He talks about them all the time and they are always asking for him!. He has one little baby that just started daycare with him. She doesn't talk yet but her father said that on the weekend all she kept saying was Kristian Kristian. Ha! The girls love him.

He had a great weekend and he can't wait for Santa. He's been a really good boy and everyday he surprises me. Love my boy sooooo much!! And I'm more excited this Christmas than all the others past.

I'll have some other pictures to post soon when I get them from daycare. Even tho his daycare isn't religious she still went out of her way to teach Kris the basics,  a little of what she could on the Christian side and a little on the commercial side. That was so nice of her. Although, she had a little tree and kris and his friends were complaining that they have big trees at home and that hers was too small haha! Kids!
