5 year and 18month doc visit

I booked 4 appointments today. Yup all in one day. As a working mom, I need to use my days off wisely. I survived! Whew! 

We were up early like any other day. Had breakfast and out the door we went! 

First to the dentist for Mr K. Then Mr K's 5 year checkup and baby M's 18 month checkup and needle... a quick stop at home for lunch then it was back out to baby M's ear doc appt.

They did so well! They were both on their best behavior! Baby M didn't even cry or make a peep when he got his needle! Super strong! 

Mr K is 37.4lbs and baby bro 21.4lbs slim guys the doc says ha! He did mention adding daily vitamin D to their diets. So we will do that! They had perfect checkups. I can't believe baby M is almost 18months old!!!!!! 

Baby M's ear tubes fell out already so he is booked in for another procedure :( but this will help him so much. Less ear infections makes for a happy kiddo. 

What are these kids up to these days...

Baby M feeds himself with a fork which is the cutest. His favorite foods are - Pasta and meatballs. Blueberries and bananas. French fries and chicken nuggets and all kinds of dairy free junk foods. And once in a while he gets his hands on foods he shouldn't eat! This boy is always eating!!

 
 Mr K is currently in weekly swimming lessons and weekly piano lessons. He loves both! So proud of this little guy!

 

February is jammed packed with fun. We are excited. Lots of birthdays and fun events!  

 
 
 

Spring cleaning on a rainy day

Baby K and I are still sick with our colds. :( Hopefully they will be fully gone soon! 

 I've been tackling all our closets and doing some spring cleaning. We will be redoing our floors soon so I don't want to  deal with over filled closets when we do! 

I finally finished baby K's closet today. Soo much small clothing. Got me thinking that baby #2 has to be a boy ha! He will get a lot of hand me downs. It actually made me emotional seeing the tiny little newborn clothes! 

Trying to organize with a toddler is more work, baby k kept taking things out of the boxes instead of putting them in. So let's just say our closet clean up took longer than it should have haha. 

3 totes full of old clothes that can be used again. And 2 boxes of shoes. He has more shoes than I do in just 19 months ha! 

A little down but fun weekend

This weekend baby K and I were sick with a cold, we still have it which makes this morning a cranky one for both of us!

We had a family BBQ yesterday which was great. The weather wasn't too bad but geez we could be having a better May! Hope it's warmer this week! 

Baby K will be 19 months this week. I can hardly believe it!!! He surprises me everyday! He is strong willed and has such a soft side too. Saturday we were both grumpy from being sick and I spoke firmly to him to stop fighting his nap. He made a pouty face and came to hug and pat my back and looked up at me with puppy eyes. Oh boy. I'm in trouble. How could I ever be upset with him! He just knows how to melt my heart! 

He is into everything and anything these days. He knows how to open our bedroom door and tries to open the other doors to go outside. He can't reach the locks yet but soon we will need to get door safety thingies! 

He never stops when he wants to learn something. He is so dedicated and persistent. He wants to go up and down the stairs alone, so every chance he gets he practices. 

My boy is growing up way too fast!!! 

Victoria Day long weekend fun!

We did a lot this weekend. We cleaned up and did some house work, had a BBQ party and also had a date night.

My husband and I had a date night Saturday. We went down to the city to one of our favorite Italian restaurants. Mmm the food was delicious! It brought back memories of when we lived in the city. We also got a parking ticket too, ha! The remembered how many tickets a year we use to get when we lived in the city haha! We were on our way to watch a movie and we saw a sign on a restaurant saying it was cuban jazz night. So we decided to go there instead. So happy we did. The night was perfect :)

Sunday night we had guests over for a BBQ party. We had fireworks and we also watched the fireworks from the theme park just north of us. We can see them from our backyard. We love that! The kids didn't like them too much though haha they were too loud for them.

It was a fun weekend. Baby k is sleeping in this morning too ha!

The weather was awesome and we spent a lot of time outdoors. We had a great weekend.

For those in OK hit by the tornado and those fearing tornados in their city. I'm sending my prayers out to all the families.

Mother's Day weekend

My second Mother's Day! I'm so proud to be a mom to my sweet little boy. I love him more than words can express! He has brought soo much joy to our family and I feel so blessed to be his mom.

This weekend we went cross border shopping. The drive is not that long and we got some really good deals. I bought 4 pairs of shoes, jeans, a dress and baby k some shoes and outfits, my husband found some great deals too. We spent the whole day shopping, eating out and having fun. Baby K loved it. We also shopped at target. I love target! Can't wait for one to open near us soon! On the way back home we drove by Niagara Falls and stopped and the Hershey factory. A must!

On Mother's Day we went to visit our mothers to celebrate Mother's Day. We had a great Mother's Day weekend.

Sun, fun and blueberry pie!

Today started out dark and rainy, but by the afternoon the sun was shining and it turned out to be a nice warm day!

Baby k loves picking those dandelions, kicking and throwing balls playing on the slide and just exploring the backyard. Of course he would try and pick up ants and put dirt in his mouth ha! Oh boy!

We spent some of the afternoon and evening playing soccer in the backyard with his new net that he had got for his birthday last year!

After hours of playing outside we ended our day with some blueberry pie. Yum!

Sick days

My little one has had a fever the last couple days and has not been feeling himself. The fever has passed thank goodness and he's slowly feeling himself again. We stayed in the last couple days only playing in the backyard for a bit. We also made some Mother's Day art too!
Baby k loves paying with his new swing and slide set ;) and loves picking all the dandelions to bring to me to smell ha! Sweet boy. The weather is so nice and the flowers are blooming. I'm hoping my little one feels all better soon. It breaks my heart when he is feeling sick.

Fun weekend but ending not so fun

This weekend was beautiful weather. We had a lot of fun outdoors. We also had a delicious dinner at my sisters home Saturday night to announce that my brother and sil are going to be baby E's godparents! They were soo happy! We had a wine night where each couple brought a bottle of wine for us to try. Oh boy it was a lot of wine. We stayed over late and the kiddos all slept together on the sofa ha!

Yesterday we spent most the day outside. It was really warm. Baby k at the end of the day didn't seem too well. He was very hot and first thing I thought of was heat exhaustion. Then last night his fever spiked to 104. It's still hovering at 100.2. I'm bringing him in to the doctor later on today. So today we will spend it indoors getting better. Hate when my little one is feeling down ;(

18 month check up!

Little K, You are 18 months old!!! Where did the time go! I'm so blessed and happy that I've been home with you the last 3 months watching you grow and learn so much!

I really have seen so much growth this past month. Last month you hit the toddler stage full force haha showing your independence and cute little personality.

Today you weigh 20 pounds. The doctor is happy with your weight, even though you are on the slim side, you eat healthy and you are growing perfectly.

You are a boy and have no hips ha! All your pants fall off you. Your waist is really still in 12 months but the length would be short ha! So you are in 12-18, some fit well while others hang low.

Your bedtime has been earlier this month usually 8/830-730/8 and naps ranging from 1.5-3 hours.

The last month you have been exploding in your vocabulary. Up to 25 words we can understand and lots of babble on top of that.

You understand a lot! And know what I'm talking about when I speak to you and if you don't you look at me and say "EH" with a serious face.

You love animals, toy cars and balls! You have so much fun playing. We can't wait to take you to the zoo this summer too!

You love to eat and even beg for food as soon as you see it even with strangers! Haha!

You love your fruit and have one as dessert after every meal. You always ask for apples, bananas, blueberries and avocado! Blueberries by far still your favorite!

I love that you use your words to ask for what you want.. You are growing soo fast and I love this stage it's really so much fun!
