A new week...




Ahh just loved having this extra day off, I think every Monday should be a holiday :) heehee I can wish. We woke up late today, made breakfast at home, watched the Olympics and enjoyed fresh cut fruit... Wish everyday was as relaxing as today :)

The last couple weeks I did not follow my goals to a T, But I also did not do sooo bad. No weight gain so that is good :)

For dinner I made a delicious stir fry full of veggies and Shrimp.



Last week I skipped my SHRED workout. So I need to get back on track this week!

Here are my weekly goals :)

*5 days a week of home cooking, include many "green" veggies and carrots.
*Drink lots of water everyday! A MUST!
*Coffee - Only 1/2 cup in the morning only.
* 1300 - 1600 daily Calories intake (Tracking on Iphone "my fitness pal app)
*3 bite rule on sweets
*Eliminate "White"Carbs
* 3 days a week basement work out (Jillian Michaels 30 day shred video)
* 3 days a week 10000 steps on the pedometer
* loofah body scrub to enhance circulation :)

Weekend Fun

The Winter Olympics! Friday night we stayed in to watch the opening ceremony and I am so glad I did. I thought it was amazing. (I took some pics of the TV, my sister asked me where I was ahaha wished I was there!
AND Canada won the first GOLD for Canada on our own soil! Mogulist Alexandre Bilodeau Won Gold today. Exciting!!!

This weekend is a Vday weekend and we have a holiday Monday for family day, so it's a perfect long weekend :)

My husband bought me a new camera and also gave me the gift of painting our powder room and bedroom. He is the best! and totally won a bunch of brownie points this weekend ahahaa!

I bought this art for 10.00 in the clearance section. It says "Courage". I love art with words.

By the time we cleaned up we ended up going out for a late dinner and were too tired to drive across the city to our planned lobster dinner so we just went down the street for Sushi. Sushi is always good :) I'm sooo looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow :) yippy to no work Monday!

Friday Finally!

This week I've been doing pretty good with my eating, with a few exceptions, but overall keeping within my calories. Something changed this week, I've been drinking so much milk! I hardly drink milk and I've been having 2 full cups a night! Since my new found love for milk I figure this weekend when I do groceries I'll buy 1% instead so I can save those calories.

I'm so happy it's Friday and we have Monday off for "Family Day" a long weekend is sooo needed! This week I've been so tired, I feel like a slug going through my days then when I get home I don't want to do anything. Sometimes I wonder how could I be so tired taking care of just meeee!hmm.

On another topic, today I stopped by Homesense and found this Cat piece. When I paid for it the cashier said "Oh finally the cat is gone, it was here for so long" LOL my husband looked at me with a "what a cat freak you are" look ... ugh I am... :)


And talking about cats, that little girl Zoe has been SOOOOO BAD lately! We have been so busy or just so tired we are not giving her the affection she use to. Every night she meows and jumps on things and running out the door every chance she gets and begging for food, all foods it's so weird she wants whatever we have, she thinks she's a dog ahah!. I know she is just looking for our attention so it makes me feel bad, but her meowssss they are turning into screams! Ok I exaggerated haha! She is still my cute furbaby I love her no matter what! :)

Veggies and Fruits oh my!

Grocery day! My main issue these days is getting very hungry during the day at work and not having enough snacks. Since I'm counting calories I'm also finding it hard to find low calorie snacks. BUT Fruits and veggies are the ones! So I stocked up!
I also bought almonds and seeds :)

Fresh cucumber with a pinch of salt is always refreshing too.

I'm starting this week off right! With a Lobster dinner at the end of the week, I'll be ready for that! :))

Weekend at the cottage

This weekend we went to a friends cottage up North in Wasaga Beach. We went up with our friends and brother in laws and had a great time. This is the cottage, it's so beautiful and there was lots of snow up North too.

My diet was NOT watched this weekend. We ate fast food twice, and snacked a lot! However at the cottage us girls went to the grocery store and pitched in $20 each to buy dinner and breakfast to cook up. We made a delicious healthy meal for dinner, Steak, Chicken and Veggies it was really good!
(ahahh I see now that I don't have much meat on my plate, hence the reason for my B12 Def. I'm trying, I'm trying)
I'm exhausted! Before heading to bed tonight I will be making my grocery list full of healthy choices for this week. One thing I need to focus on this week is healthy snack for work.

Weekly Goals, but not this week.

Since I was feeling down the past couple days my husband wanted to cheer me up for lunch today and picked me up for Sushi :) Yes Sushi makes me happy ahah!
I ordered a roll box at this new place and it was huge! We both shared our meals with each other so it worked out fine :) Strangely my appetite was off yesterday and today, could be because I was a little worried and occupied with "Googeling!"

I read sooo much information on Ovarian Cysts and I feel much better. Yesterday my back was hurting A LOT! and because I knew why, it made me focus on that pain even more, but today it doesn't hurt at all... (I wonder if it's gone!!) I hope I hope I hope!

Going back to the information I found, I read that diet can help eliminate/prevent cysts. So I made notes and changed up my weekly goals for next week. AND I will be hitting the book store tonight too. (I know, I get obsessed with things, I just hate change! and even more if it's with my body...Controlling? Maybe a little ahah!)

Weekly Goals:

* More sleep! I've been staying up late and waking up grumpy not good, for anyone ahah!

I also read that increasing Vitamin A and B's are very good so I think my B12 shot will have much more use than 1!

I always see things as a "sign" and I think I have been getting the hints to make some major changes, and changes to continue my life with. Our bodies speak to us and we must listen, or it gets mad and won't hide it for long.


So glad the weekend is almost here!!!

OUCH - I'm Ok...


Just a quick update on my results. I went to the doctor this morning to get my first B12 shot. I hate needles, well who really likes em haha! She told me to relax, was talking to me saying I obviously do not eat enough meat etc etc then BAM a stab in arm ouch! I read that it should give energy, however I feel like crap today along with a big headache! I'm misinformed ahah!
I also got my results for my ultrasound and I was debating posting it on my blog, thinking maybe it's TMI but I decided I think it's ok, plus I have amazing blogger friends that always give me helpful and kind sweet comments and always make me feel better :)
Ok, so results in and I have a large cyst in my left ovary, this is what is causing my lower back pain. (not muscle pain) I was going to cry when she told me, but she told me it is VERY common and re-assured me I can still have my 12 babies as planned, her humor not mine ha! But she did say it will burst on it's own and that will cause some pain but will pass. EEK not looking forward to that! I left sorta shocked and now have a million questions for her for the next time I see her.
This week has not been good so far in terms of diet and exercise, but now that I know my results I can just address them when I need to and move on. Tomorrow I will get back on track and continue my workout with the 30 day shred and continue my 1300-1600 calorie intake. Time to take charge of my health! And not let these "issues" get in my way! :)

Take this B12...Or not


Huge piece of B12 Ha! Tonight we went out for a steak dinner...wish we has Sushi instead because after eating most of that huge steak above, my head feels cloudy! and I have the biggest headache. I know it could easily be the salt and not so much the meat, either way. Whats up with that!

I read up on B12 Deficiency and really can't think of reasons why I'm that low. I really don't want to think to far into it and make myself crazy. So I will do as the doctor says. I'm going tomorrow morning for my first B12 shot and to discuss this new issue grr! (sorta really scared of needles AHHH)

Before our big dinner we went to pick up our new car. Car #2! for the past 4 1/2 years since husband and I moved in together we were always ok with 1 car, then again we use to live in the city where a cab to downtown was less than 20 bucks, and ttc was at our doorstep, with the subway 3 mins down the street....
Ahhhhh freedom! ahaha. We both can be free to go out when we want without worrying about the other being trapped in suburbia! ahaha. Happy day!

A Day of NEWS

ahaah had to show the meat pic... Well today I spent it worrying about my ultra sound and (peeing all that water I had to drink for it! 13 times in total aahah) 4pm I see my doctor's number on my cell phone. My heart drops and I was thinking it was about the ultrasound. Close, last week I went for blood work and it just so happens I'm very low in B12 and now I have to go in weekly for B12 shots! :( I have no clue what this means, I need to do my research and I'm going in Wednesday to talk to her and get my first shot. My cousin told me not to worry and that my cousin who is a vegetarian is always low in B12. I do eat meat, but I know I do not eat enough. I will be looking up the foods I should be eating, if you know more on this topic, please let me know!! :)

Ahem, this is the same doctor that told me to stop taking multi vitamins years ago. BOO shoulda taken them!!

Not liking these surprises!!


BUT there was 1 good surprise today tho, (altho, I already knew 2 months ago) My brother and his wife decided to announce to the family today that they are pregnant! I'm soooo excited to be an aunt!!!! Today was also my dads birthday, he would have been 54 today :( he passed away in 2002, and we miss him soooooo much. He would have been sooo happy to be a grandfather :( But I know he is always with us everyday in spirit and I am ok with that too :)

Tired Monday!

Ugh, wish I was doing what Zoe is right now. This morning I was suppose to wake up at 6:30am and as my alarm DID go off in time, I snoozed and snoozed and woke up at 7:15! I had a ultrasound appt today (going into TMI right now ahah...) the ultra sound is just a check up for my lower left back pain. This was my first ultra sound and I was to drink 32oz of water before the appt. As soon as I woke up I started drinking and drinking, on the way there I thought I was going to bring it all back up! Yuk! Got into the room did what they said and the lady looks at me and says "what time did you start drinking? look, the water is all in your belly!" UGH!!!! She took some pics and hopefully she got what she needed which is hopefully nothing at all :) I should get the results in by Wednesday. While I was there I also had to do a chest xray. My doctor sends me for one every year... is that normal?
Today I gave in and bought a coffee and bagel, which I have not done in a long long time. I'm adding it to my calorie app now :)
