My jeans fit!

That's right. My pre-preg jeans fit! A little snug but they zip and button with no problem! I still have a lot of weight to lose but this definitely made me more motivated! My body is different after baby 2, so that I accept. I am making lifestyle changes to reach my goal.

I saw a picture of a woman on facebook the other day of her post partum belly after 1 month and she was saying that her belly was still big and upset about it.

It's sad that we expect our bodies to bounce back so quickly after we have a baby. It happens for some women but for some of us it takes more work. My tummy was never the same after baby 1!

I can say that 7 months post partum my body is finally feeling somewhat normal again. It takes time! We are all different too. I don't drop weight quickly, it takes work, and with 2 kids, I am still trying to find a balance that includes me time.

We recently bought a playpen for the basement so baby M can play while I get some workouts in.

With our family of 4 now we are pretty busy! So I'm always looking for fast and  easy meals that don't require too much work!

I blogged about my pressure cooker before, because I absolutely love it.

One pot meals in 10-30mins makes for fast meals and fast clean up!

Yesterday we made chili tacos.

Little k loves chilli, he had 2 bowls full!

The other night I made honduran meal called baleadas. Mmm! Soo good
I'm making a easy recipe booklet for myself ha!

So far it looks like baby m is a great eater
Feeding himself sweet potato!

These kids are growing so fast!
Baby M is lifting himself to stand!

Ha ️adorable!

Yesterday we got our new suv! Little k was so excited, he was waiting for daddy to get home. Once he arrived we went for a ride and both kids fell asleep ha! It was a peaceful ride.

I can't wait for the weekend. We are finally getting some nicer weather!

Have a great week friends!

Just a little this and that

What's going on this week? back to school colds, that's what! Little K came home with a cold and passed it on to babyM and mommy!

The other night was tough! I sent the Mr out at midnight to get some things to help with baby M's cold!

The hydra sense is helping sooo much!!

To be safe since M is only 1 month I took them both to the doctor yesterday.

Oh yes , just me and 2 sick kiddies.

Little K was great at first, pushing the stroller, pressing the elevator buttons, being a big boy getting weighed and temperature checked.... Then it was baby M's turn. Little K wasn't thrilled at the shift in attention. Sooo Mr 3 year old came out full force, making noise, climbing the walls, Pretending to run out of the office. Whaaa!!! I couldn't wait to get out of there. He was testing my patience that's forsure! Momlife!!! Insert tears here haha
No doctor pics, you can imagine why, my hands were pretty full! Ha!

This past weekend we went to the amusement park, it will be closing for the season soon, so we need to make the most of our dino walks!

Or strolls.

Fun walk and great exercise for us. Ha!

Especially after our Sunday lunch!

Can you believe that this past weekend was my first time making lasagna! My mom makes the best lasagna! And even tho it was my first time, I followed her directions and added a little flare of my own and it was sooo delish! Yum!!

Since I've been on maternity leave I've been cooking a lot more! But with 2 kids, it isn't easy!

I'm trying out a lot of new slowcooker recipes as well. 2 kids need so much of my attention it's hard to take extra time in the kitchen! But I don't mind! As long as we have easy delicious meals planned we are all happy!!

My baby boy will be 6 weeks this week. He's beginning to pay more attention, looking closely at us and beginning to coo! So adorable!

I think little K can't wait for baby to notice him!

Oh! And yesterday we went to try out for piano!! Little k is showing a lot of interest.

He loved it but he's still a bit young to begin the lessons. So enrollment wot be until next summer. In the meantime, we will begin practice at home!

Weekend with Friends and Family over Eggs, Steaks and Baleadas

We had a great weekend with family and friends.

Saturday morning I went out for breakfast with a friend and brought little K along. We went to Milestones in the mall. I’ve never been there for breakfast. It was really nice and  the portions were HUGE . Little K’s kids menu of Bacon and Eggs was really the size for adults.

Breakfast with the ladies.

I spent the rest of the day with my little man, shopping and gathering last minute things for our trip.

New sun hats!

Saturday night we went out for dinner with some friends. Steak and Wine!

I guess you can say I’m beginning to be picky with my steak. We go out for steak dinners often, and I like to try different types. Saturday I had the New York Steak (for the first time) The others got Rib eye steak and bone in Rib eye. I think the Bone in rib eye was the best one I tasted.

The appetizers were delicious too. Calamari, Fries, Sautéed mushrooms, Sugar snap peas. Yum!

A great evening with friends!

Sunday morning I had to go into work for  couple hours.

zzzz I left the Mr and little K sleeping all snuggled in, while I left the house on a cold dark Sunday morning ha!

They woke up when I got home haha, they didn’t miss me at all.

I got home, got everyone ready, and we headed out to have Brunch at my inlaws.

Honduran Breakfast, Baleadas!

Soooo good!

Flour Tortillas, Refried beans, Eggs, Avocado, Cheese, YUM!

I can’t wait for my new kitchen! I have a list of Italian and Honduran recipes that I want to perfect.

Growing up we always had Big family lunches on Sunday’s. My mom would make lasagna.

The Mr grew up with Baleadas for weekend breakfasts. These are 2 recipes that have priority, but we have a list of Italian and Honduran recipes we want to pass on to our children. :)

Although I must say, life is VERY different now than it was when I grew up. We are always on the go and out and about, I rarely have weekends home where I can spend hours making a delicious meal. I can tell you that I am NOT one to spend hours in the kitchen cooking (I enjoy cooking, just not for hours ha) . So that’s why we came up with a menu of dishes we love from growing up and those are the dishes we will focus on to pass on to our kids. Only a few of them are ones that take a lot of time.  That I can do! I can’t wait to get our new home and set new traditions for our kid(s)!

Hope you all have a great Monday!

We have snow!!!

Blog post New items and dropping weight

My house has been neglected since baby boy came into our lives. I have a list of things I still want to change and purchase for our home. Seems like there is no extra time!

The other night I bought a new art piece for the dining room and a new carpet for the front door ;)

I still want to get some accent chairs for the dining room and my bedroom!

(pics may not be in order, using blogging app)

I did a weigh in today and dropped 2lbs. Must be the 2-3 hour Breastfeeding schedule baby boy is back on these days. In total I have dropped 34lbs!!! Yippy!

I haven't been good with watching what I eat, I still have a major sweet tooth, but I try my best to eat healthy so baby boy is getting lots of nutrients!

I eat 1 avocado a day! I love avocados and once baby is ok with cereals, his first fruit will be an avocado!

What's your favorite fruit/veggie?
