Weekend with Friends and Family over Eggs, Steaks and Baleadas

We had a great weekend with family and friends.

Saturday morning I went out for breakfast with a friend and brought little K along. We went to Milestones in the mall. I’ve never been there for breakfast. It was really nice and  the portions were HUGE . Little K’s kids menu of Bacon and Eggs was really the size for adults.

Breakfast with the ladies.

I spent the rest of the day with my little man, shopping and gathering last minute things for our trip.

New sun hats!

Saturday night we went out for dinner with some friends. Steak and Wine!

I guess you can say I’m beginning to be picky with my steak. We go out for steak dinners often, and I like to try different types. Saturday I had the New York Steak (for the first time) The others got Rib eye steak and bone in Rib eye. I think the Bone in rib eye was the best one I tasted.

The appetizers were delicious too. Calamari, Fries, Sautéed mushrooms, Sugar snap peas. Yum!

A great evening with friends!

Sunday morning I had to go into work for  couple hours.

zzzz I left the Mr and little K sleeping all snuggled in, while I left the house on a cold dark Sunday morning ha!

They woke up when I got home haha, they didn’t miss me at all.

I got home, got everyone ready, and we headed out to have Brunch at my inlaws.

Honduran Breakfast, Baleadas!

Soooo good!

Flour Tortillas, Refried beans, Eggs, Avocado, Cheese, YUM!

I can’t wait for my new kitchen! I have a list of Italian and Honduran recipes that I want to perfect.

Growing up we always had Big family lunches on Sunday’s. My mom would make lasagna.

The Mr grew up with Baleadas for weekend breakfasts. These are 2 recipes that have priority, but we have a list of Italian and Honduran recipes we want to pass on to our children. :)

Although I must say, life is VERY different now than it was when I grew up. We are always on the go and out and about, I rarely have weekends home where I can spend hours making a delicious meal. I can tell you that I am NOT one to spend hours in the kitchen cooking (I enjoy cooking, just not for hours ha) . So that’s why we came up with a menu of dishes we love from growing up and those are the dishes we will focus on to pass on to our kids. Only a few of them are ones that take a lot of time.  That I can do! I can’t wait to get our new home and set new traditions for our kid(s)!

Hope you all have a great Monday!

We have snow!!!

Just a little weekend fun!

This weekend really began on Thursday night. Catching up with my sister and cousin over lattes :)

We always have deep conversations about our past, present and future, and it always ends in giving out our support and love for one another.

Friday was a work day for me, but little K and my husband had the day off.

They went to the museum together. How cute are these pictures of their day!?

Little k wouldn't stop talking about his fun day with dad!

They started the day with a big breakfast...

So cute!

Friday night I met up with friends I haven't seen in 12 years! Childhood friends I grew up with. We were best friends before that for 21 years!

It was soo nice to see them and catch up. Listening to everyone's story, all that's happened and missed in 12 years. Marriages, babies, careers, health. We could have stayed out all night catching up ha!

Saturday I went to visit my grandparents and spent the day with these cuties!

And Saturday night was date night :)

Dinner and live music.

We had a Fun weekend!

But so sad it went by soo fast!

Long weekend fun

Ahh another long weekend.
The weather was beautiful!!!!

We had a BBQ party at a friends house. With delicious pizza from their wood burning oven!

Yesterday we went to the beach and soaked up the sun! A 3 hour drive but well worth it!

We built sand castles and played with waterguns and went swimming!

Little k was afraid of the water at first. Once he saw me in the water he got brave and yelled "my turn" and ran in!!! Omg we were in shock as he ran in splashing with no fear. He laughed and said he was swimming like a fishy. Ha!

I am sooo loving this stage and little k's imagination.

As he was playing in the sand he was saying that he found dinosaur eggs ha! This kid loves everything dinosaur right now.

I never want to forget these super cute moments!

Summer days

A friend and I met up yesterday for a playdate with the kids. We enjoyed a nice breakfast. The kids were well behaved until the end when little K had enough and was anxious to run around, he threw his plate of food to the ground. Blueberries and bread all scattered all over the floor ha!

We then headed to a park so the kids can get filthy haha yes playing in sand. Sand was everywhere!!!! I'm soooo not a fan of sand playgrounds. Sand is for the beach!

My friend put together this picture of us and the kids growing up. They will be 2 soon! 2!!!!

Later in the evening we had a BBQ dinner outside. Summer feels like its slipping away too quickly!

Little K and Zoe are best friends. They are adorable playing together. Yesterday it was hide and seek I think ha!!

Summer is ending soon and little K will be starting a new daycare very soon! More about this later!

Happy Friday!

Play date fun day

Today was another full day out while the floors are being completed.

First stop a friends house up the street for a breakfast playdate! The boys played and my friend made a huge breakfast!! It was awesome!

It was raining allllll day! So no park fun for the kids.

Baby k is 20 months old and I can't keep up with how fast he's changing before my eyes. This week alone he said 5 more new words. I lost count now on how many words he says. He was pretty good with using a fork from months ago but would take a while, now he demands a fork to eat! Ha!

Once I got home in the evening I was soooo happy to see the awesome new floors! Can't wait to clean up and put the house back in order!

Breakfast out with a friend

This morning baby K and I met up with friends for breakfast.

The two little ones were so cute! They were funny giving each-other toddler attitude and watching each-other closely.

They both were so good eating their breakfast but of course had their moments of toddlerness to make sure we paying attention ha!

Fun times playing

Yesterday I went over a friend's house for a play date! Check out her blog here. She posted lots of pics!

We had a sushi lunch and the kids got to play together. Isaac is so quick crawling and standing and soo adorable! Kristian doesn't crawl yet but loves to stand up, we were hoping Isaac could teach him to crawl hahaha!

Yummy!

My friend bought Kristian a 1 year old birthday shirt!! I can't believe how fast time went by! Isaac turns 1 in a month and Kris in 2. ugh!

She also bought me this beautiful friendship Angel for my birthday :)

Last night Kristian was up every half hour from 4:30am to 8:30am. I see the white of the 4 top teeth, two more than the others. I'm exhausted today! and Kristian has been a little cranky.

I took out some new toys for him to play with and he is having some fun and driving Zoe our cat crazy haha!

Zoe wants to play too
Got Mail? haha!

This weekend is packed with fun. My niece is having her birthday party at a fun room and it's my sisters birthday too! Along with the keys to her new house! My sister will be living close by! Yay!
