Pool time!

The weather here is great! Hot hot hot!

Today we went to my Aunts house to cool down and go for a swim!!

The kids had a great time!

During this nice weather I'm sure many parents are taking their kids for a swims... Water safety is soooo important!!! As adults and with kids in the water we always need to be in the water with them! It only takes a second for something to happen.

When I was about 4 I was in my uncle's pool when I slipped into the deep end. I couldn't swim. My dad was on the deck above and saw that I went under and jumped right in to get me... I was fine, if he wasn't close by and watching it could have ended much differently. I know first hand how all it takes is a second to go under.

So stay safe!!!!!! Floaties for all kids and adults in the water too!

Wednesday a couple friends and I are taking a CPR course. Never do I want to be in a situation to use it, but I will feel much better to know what to do in any situation that I would need to use it!

Baby food for the week!

Yesterday we went to visit the doctor. I've been a little concerned since Kristian has been nursing less and doesn't drink much water. I try giving him a bottle or sippy cup of water but he will just play and spit it out!

The doctor said not to worry and he will get what he needs from solids. He suggested I give each food group twice a day. So today we will start our new menu.

I bought the jars of meat purée instead of making it. I made it once and so far I rather buy that. I do give small pieces of our cooked meat when I make it too.

I made lots of fruits and veggies today!

Apple and carrots
Butternut squash and pears
Zucchini
And blueberries!

Kris is also loving apple cinnamon oatmeal!

Food for the week!

Did my baby poop?

These are the things that worry me these days haha. I'm now always making sure my little one is ok. Did he poop today? Is he eating and drinking enough? Did he sleep enough? Is he in pain!? All concerned mommy questions!

My little guy has been teething, his first tooth is making it's way out! Even though he was never been the greatest at sleep, teething has him up sooo much at night!

Yesterday wasn't too bad, but the night before he was up every hour!

He has been pretty cranky too, so I'm making sure he gets all his naps in during the day.

Weaning off Breastfeeding and sleep training is all on hold for now.

Today we went out to buy him some new toys. ;) hope it helps him feel better.

Baby Received his First Sacrament

Yesterday was Kristian's Baptism! We are so happy and feel so blessed to have great family and friends that shared this special day with us.

My sister and her husband became Kristian's Godparents. This is the first step for Kristian in leading his life of Faith.

Kristian Slept the whole ceremony haha! 

He cried when he got baptized... but only because he was sleeping and he felt me putting him down hahaha!




The ceremony was beautiful and Kristian became a member of our church. The Priest talked about living life like a child... fully enjoying every moment. As we get older the stresses of life keep us from fully enjoying ourselves, this happens to us all the time. This is something I really want to try and live by everyday. Being happy and loving and fully enjoying our days with family and friends. Being excited for the small things, just like children are.

After the ceremony we celebrated at a restaurant with family and friends. We had a great time! The day was perfect!

3 more months!

Eek! It's 3 more months then it's back to work!! Baby K will be headed to daycare. We have so much to prepare for the next 3 months. Paperwork for daycare paperwork for work yuk!

Staying at home with the baby is just as hard some days as being a working mom. Both has it's pro's and con's. Although I would love to stay home with little K, I know the daycare I chose is a great fit for him. He will learn a lot and make lots of friends too. I am sure that I will be the one having a harder time getting use to it than him ha!

We are planning a family vacation before I go back. A much much needed vacation!

Ahhhh the ocean!

Canada day long weekend fun!

I wish the blogger app was a little more advanced, like being able to place pictures where I want them not just below all the text. Oh well!

This weekend was Canada day long weekend!!

It was also the Euro cup finale! Spain won! We were cheering for both teams but really wanted Italy to win! So we were also sad!

We had a fun weekend and the weather was beautiful.

This week it will be really hot and humid!!

We have a busy busy week planned as I have a lot to organize for baby K's baptism celebration this weekend!!!

Baby K you are 8 months old!

My sweet  baby you are growing up sooo fast! 8 months old today!

You are soo adorable and have the cutest laugh ha! We love you sooo much!

You weigh 16.2 lbs and are still in size 3 diapers and 6-9 month clothing.

You are eating 3x a day plus some snacks and still breastfeeding. I am happy and blessed to be still breastfeeding you! I remember how hard it was and I am happy to have been able to do it for this long :) Even though we are trying to slowly wean you, some days are better than others, but like your daddy says... you love your moo juice haha!

I started making your food a little chunkier and started giving you pieces of soft baby cookies and even some toast today. You love to drink out of a cup, it can be a little messy but you love it.

You nap 2-3 hours a day on your side and still have inconsistent nights. Some nights only waking once and other nights 2-3. We are starting sleep training slowly, we will soon see what works!

You love to babble, clap your hands like crazy now and give high fives. You wave hi/bye when you feel like it ha!You love to move around and daddy has been teaching you to crawl. Some more practice and I think you will get it soon!

Whatever we have in our hands, you want it!  You pay attention closely to everything. You stare and even copy the way I move my mouth when I eat haha! I love your little personality and love seeing you grow and develop everyday. Its soo amazing.

Next Sunday is a big day for you, you will be baptized!

Spa day and Italy win!

Today was a busy day out!! My cousin and I had a spa day planned and little did we know it was going to be right when the soccer game was on - Italy vs Germany!

I dropped off baby K with my mom (ohhh this was hard for me! Before I left I was listing out everything for my mom.... Be careful if he... Don't let him... If he's hungry... He needs a nap around....etc, etc!! But he was sooo good and didn't cry at all or fuss at all the whole afternoon)

Ok spa! We got a facial! A back massage and a mani, pedi!! It was soo nice!! Can't wait to go back!

While we were getting our nails done we were listening to the game. Haha.

I knew Italy was in the lead but as soon as I walked in the front door if my grandparents house, it was over and Italy won!! Yippy!


Now Sunday is Spain vs Italy! Good thing Kris has both jerseys! Ha!

A RHONJ in our city

Today Teresa Giudice from the Real housewives of New Jersey/ Celebrity Apprentice was in our city at Chapters promoting one of her cookbooks. I haven't watched RHONJ that often this season but I catch it here and there. I also loved watching her on Celebrity Apprentice. I have her first book Skinny Italian which I thought was great.

So since she was going to be close by I decided to go tonight to chapters.

There was over 1000 people! Eek! We didn't stand in line. But got some pictures and were there when she walked out greeting the crowd. ;)

She looked so pretty and spoke Italian to the crowd too ha!
