36 weeks and Some new things!

36 weeks! Today my OB appt went well. Although I have a lot of swelling on my left side! Doc told me to take it easy!
I don't have much longer eeeeee could be any day now. Up to 4 weeks to go! Doc wants 38-39 weeks, Eee that's 2 weeks away!!! She also said to pay close attention to baby movements from now on. This little guy moves a lot! So I should be able to notice a decline.  Kristian wasn't as active. But I did notice a decline and that's when I went to the hospital and ended up getting induced!

Little man starts jk in September so I wanted to make sure I organized most things for him before baby! Because we will all be soo busy.

I'm going to be trying new lunch ideas since I'll be packing his daily lunches!

Here are some new buys!

We will try different foods daily that way I have a go to list of what works!

I also bought a waffle maker. I'm going to try different waffles with fruit and chia seeds and see if the little man will enjoy that for breakfast or desserts! My sister in law does this for her girls and they love it.

This week at little mans summer camp it was dino week. He had to show me the board with the pictures. How cute!!

Although I'm slowing down a lot because I'm bigger and have swollen feet:( wears Trying to make summer as much fun as we can before baby brother arrives!!

21 weeks!

How far along: coming up to 21weeks!

Weight gain: 16lbs so far eek!

Cravings: not much, I've been sick for a week now and I don't have any taste or or sense of smell! Fun for a preggo ha!

Size of baby: length of a carrot!

Movement: this little one is active!! Much more that little k was at this time.

I can't get enough of the ultrasound pic!
How can you not be so in love with a precious little life!!

Best feeling: baby moving all around and little k being Soo interested in his baby brother or sister. I love cuddling with my boys every night getting so much love. We love this little one so much and can't wait to shower him/her with lots of love when he/she arrives in August!

Love my boys!! And once we find out the gender let's see if I'll still be saying just boys! Haha.

Happy Wednesday  friends!

19 weeks!

How Far Along: 19 weeks

Woah what happened! Belly just popped out there!

Loving the belly rubs from my husband and little k. ♥️ I can't believe that my family of 3 will soon be 4!!!!!! 4!!!!!

Size of baby:  Cantaloupe!

maternity clothes: Ok so I'm loving the maternity store, jeans, tights, dresses... I have bought a lot for only 19 weeks! I'm embracing my belly and showing it off! We are soo happy and excited and I know how fast this will all go. I want to enjoy every minute of it!

Movement: Lots of movement. At this week with little K, I didn't feel much movement. This little one is moving around alot!

Cravings:They don't last very long, after I have something I've been craving it's then gone. Still more food aversions than anything.

But Brownies were delish today :)

Best Moment so far: Is yet to come! Finding out the gender soon! BUT we all won't find out until our Gender Reveal party! The technician will write it out for me and I'll hand it over to my sister.  She will be the only one that will know! And she will reveal it at the party!!! EEEEE. We are all SOOOO VERY Excited!

My big news!

Well...
...
...
...
...

Do you know now!

Ha! Finally the secrets out! Boy was it hard to keep!

I started to show right away! And started feeling pregnancy symptoms even before I missed my period.

Like  increased sense of smell. Omg I was in tune with every scent/odor around me!

I had a couple clues very early on. Like mood swings. Ha. I went from zero to 100 real quick. Tired tired tired! Way more exhausted now than I was with little k.

Early cravings, I remember one day buying takeout and the man next to me bought a milkshake. I never buy or want milkshakes, but this time, my eyes were locked on it. Haha and I had a war in my head, get it, don't get it, just get it, don't get it! I walked out without it. Then couldn't stop thinking about it. I knew right then, I had to be pregnant! lol I sent the husband back out to get it, a chocolate and vanilla one haha!

Since then my cravings are mostly for salty tangy foods. My emotions are off the wall. I'll cry if I step on a ant kinda emotions. Poor ant could have had a family. I'm mama bear to the extreme. Taking no BS from anyone or anything negative that comes our way. My family first that's my priority. My little boys happiness and well being drives all my decisions.

Just this weekend I announced my pregnancy on Facebook. The amount of love we received was soo amazing. We love all our family and friends. Seeing them all genuinely happy for us is the best feeling. We are so blessed.

Our little family is sooo excited!
Little k is excited to be a big brother, he won't stop talking about it, and already asked to hold the baby. Ha!

I'll start my weekly pregnancy update posts starting next week. Tracking belly growth and how I'm feeling!

This picture was taken first week of January! Eep I'm bigger than that now!

I'm already in maternity pants and skirts. We got 7 more months to go!  Due date expected Aug 22. :)

39 Weeks Pregnant - Membrane Sweep

 39 weeks!

We are on week 39! My OB was telling me for a while now that my little one would be early. Which was really exciting for me.. however at 39 weeks, it's not really "early" anymore.

At yesterdays appointment my OB did a Membrane Sweep (where she does an internal exam and opens the cervix just a bit and does a sweeping motion).  This is to help speed things along. She said she will do it again next week if baby has not arrived yet.

She suggested some things that speed up labor... like Castor oil and eating a big salad, lots of greens. None of which I want to eat.

So the waiting continues. I'm just praying for a healthy labor and delivery and a healthy little boy. He will come when he is ready. :)

For now I'll be doing a lot of this...

 And this... ha!

A Nice Fall Weekend

Yesterday the weather was beautiful! We couldn't believe that it's almost the end of October and we spent the day outdoors.

Our family came to visit and it turned out to be a BBQ afternoon. Sooo glad the weather was awesome.

We are all anxiously waiting for baby K! We are stillll waiting hahah! I have my next appt on Wednesday, so we will see what the doctor says.

Baby K received some extra gifts this weekend... We have a large immediate family so baby K has a total of 9 Aunts and Uncles so far! :) He is one lucky little boy.

Cute Onesie and flipflops!

My 1st Christmas Outfit!

And a cute Crochet Aviator hat!

The count down is still on! Maybe he will come by this coming weekend?.... Maybe.... :)

38 weeks pregnant

This week!
How Far Along: 38 weeks!
Size of baby: 6.8 pounds (as per iphone app)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gain 38lbs
Maternity Clothes: Maternity tights have been my favorite!
Cravings: chocolate anything thanks ;)
Symptoms: joint pain, pressure as baby's head gets in position, back pain, fatigue, emotional, over thinking things. Feeling a little bit nervous about being a mom. Nervous about the things in life I can't control....
What I'm looking forward to? meeting my little boy for the first time.

The OB keeps saying that the baby will be early... let's just wait and see. Many
friends and family members are betting on this weekend... watch this little
one take us by surprise and arrive late ha!

I do feel my body changing,  like its preparing... but no real contractions yet
but then again I don't know what that feels like... I'm assuming
I will know when it happens because it with equal "pain" right?

Delivery:

I choose to get the epidural for delivery...

Now I know to be prepared for anything and everything that
can possibly happen during delivery. I've heard enough stories ha!

Mama's any delivery advice for this first time mom?

The weeks and years just fly by

Today 9 years ago my dad passed away. I can't remember if I ever went into detail about his passing here on my blog. But it's one of those things, that some days I can talk openly about it and other days I just rather not get too deep into it because I don't want to feel so sad bringing up the past. My sister said it perfectly on her Facebook status today...
You know your an amazing father when after 9yrs your kids still look to you for advice, and even though you can't answer.. They know exactly what you would say. You were an amazing man, and you taught us a ton of life lessons that most don't ever learn. We are strong because of you. Missing you always.. R.I.P Daddy. 9yrs today.

So today as I do every year I went to the cemetery. It's always so calming there and it's the one place I can be so honest and true in expressing my feelings without any judgement. And my dad was just that person, he never judged people.

I can hardly believe that it's been 9 years already! (I bought that chair for us to sit on when we visit, 9 years ago!)

This week I'm almost 38 weeks pregnant. We decided to put a middle name for baby K that is similar to my dad's name, we went back and forth on it and every time I went to the cemetery this year I felt that it was the perfect thing to do.

Today I also had an OB appt. OB said my cervix was soft and baby's head is in position which are all great signs for my first baby. She thinks he will be early. So let's see!!

It's a beautiful fall day here. Hope you all are having a great day.

Ok, so I wrote the above this morning and saved it.  The rest of the afternoon went by and I started to feel pain in my pelvic area and a sick feeling like weak and a big headache.

So I came straight home to lay down.  Right now I can barely walk!

37 weeks pregnant update!

This week!
How Far Along: 37 weeks!

Size of baby: FULL TERM!

Sleep: Up more often because of pressure on my bladder!

Cravings: CHOCOLATE!

Symptoms: Same as last week. Joints are sore.

Best Moment so far: Setting up the Nursery! Check it out!

What I'm looking forward to? Meeting my little boy's little face!

Yesterday I went on a tour of the Labour and Delivery Ward in the hospital.  There were about 15 couples on the tour. Lots of preggos!

They showed us where to check in when we get there and the actual delivery rooms. They are not too big and only allow at most 2 people. I will have only my husband in the delivery room so it's ok. They also have Jacuzzi's and birth balls if I want to use them.  I seen the delivery bed and the huge lights that will shine down when delivery is happening. EEK!!!

They also have a baby warmer station within the room.  If baby is healthy and doesn't need any urgent care then they keep the baby in the same room for tests and clean up :) Once delivery is over they will then transfer me to another area where family and friends can visit :) We have large families so I requested a Private room, but my hospital only has 3, and it's first come first serve. So we'll see I guess.

It felt so real walking through the delivery area, and I thought, OMG I'm gonna HAVE A BABY!! haha. The new babies were crying too, and new dads out in the halls holding their little bundles with big smiles on their faces. So sweet. I felt so emotional.

Now that I'm 37 weeks the baby is considered full term. He can now come any time he likes! :)

Thanksgiving weekend, OB appt and Belly pics!

We had AMAZING weather this weekend! All weekend it felt like summer! Saturday afternoon the Nursery furniture arrived! It was so exciting and exhausting putting it all together. It's almost done, so I will blog about it soon! Sunday we had a party for my grandmothers 80th birthday! It was a thanksgiving/bday party. My grandmother was so happy with all her gifts and loved having the whole family over to share her special birthday. We all love her sooo much!

Yesterday we went to the inlaws for Thanksgiving Dinner. The weather was soo nice, and for the first time we actually had Thanksgiving dinner outside on the patio! Awesome weather! The Turkey was delicious, and we all ate soo much!

This morning I had an OB appointment. Now I will be seeing her weekly. This week I'll be 37 weeks, eek!
Doctor felt my tummy and asked if I feel a lot of pressure since the baby's head is really low and in position... I said YES! All weekend I felt a pinching feeling along with pressure and could hardly stand. She said the baby is a average size, not too small but not big either, so next week we will to an ultrasound to get more of an accurate size of the baby. I'm thinking he will be 7lbs like I was.

\
OB thinks little one will come earlier than his due date Nov 4. So the count down is on! Friends and Family all have their guesses in! ahah!

She also stated that fetal movement is most important these coming weeks. If I do not feel at least 6 movements in a day, I'll need to go to the hospital ASAP! She also did the bacteria swap test (GBS) today. (Hope I'm clear!)

This week we will be taking a tour of the Maternity ward at our hospital :) Fun!
