We got windows and doors!

Weekly update on our new home.

Windows and doors!

We had some options of doors to choose from. We upgraded our door to the single taller door with glass on the side. Looking up feng shui and the direction of our door It says sand colors is best. That's exactly what we got!

I have a note book ready with the lists, yes listsss of our move/storage/purchases and all house related things!

Today we agreed on getting shutters for the inside as our current home has. I also started the hunt for a new washer and dryer.

This is our third home! We are so excited! when we pass by the new home, little k already says that's his house. Well he says his broken house haha.

Weekend recap:

Sunday we went to African lion. Safari!!!
Kris loved it! Who doesn't! We went often as kids and I have soo many great memories of the animal tour.

When the animals came close to the car kris was afraid and told us to hurry up and drive ha!
Love these pics!

We also went over to my sisters place Saturday night. The kids are just soo cute!'

Yesterday i had the day off with kris and we had such a fun day me and him. Starting off with breakfast with a friend.

Day 1 of my diet is on track!
Day 2... I'm planning for it to be a success haha

Happy hump day!

Getting back on track...again.

Sigh. Watch my diet... Don't watch my diet... Watch... Don't watch... Ughh

I'm getting back on track! Again!

Since I started work I've been buying lunch pretty much every single day! I have been choosing healthier choices but many of the choices involve bread and more bread that I do not need. When selling our home we had to be out of the house a lot. Eating out a lot! We do enjoy going to restaurants as a family but I definitely need to keep my goals in mind!

So today I made a yummy grilled chicken salad for today's dinner and tomorrow's lunch!
All organic veggies! Yum!

I have a 20lbs weight loss goal I want to achieve by the new year! My last 20lbs of baby weight. I have more than one reason why I neeeed to achieve this goal by the new year! So hopefully all those reasons push me along!

Some diet changes that started today!
Only 1 coffee no sugar a day
Water water and more water
Cut as many carbs and sugars as I can!
Portion control, especially at dinner.
2xweek workouts (I know this should be more, but it's hard to find the time!!! So I'll continue with 2x)

Target areas: hips and thighs

Project let's get fit is on!

Me 7 years ago! Ohhhh how I want that body back! Ha! I remember trying to lose 20lbs that time too. Sigh.

Soccer weekend & our anniversary weekend.

It’s ALL about Soccer right now. The Games are on no matter what we are doing ha. At work we have 4 Tv’s set up in our cafeteria which is awesome. The evenings and weekends we have been enjoying watching the games at different sports bars around the city. Wings, Fries and Beer on a nice summer evening watching Soccer. Perfect! But anywhere we go, whether home or family’s houses, we are watching! Little K isn’t as impressed with watching soccer as he is playing it. Once in a while he will ask to change the channel to treehouse (kids channel) Ha. Sadly he is never getting his way when soccer is on.

This weekend like all of our weekends these days was non-stop, but still a fun weekend. Visiting family, going to a family baby shower, watching soccer ha! And celebrating our 7 year anniversary.

I mentioned on my blog a couple times that we have been going through a top 9 best steakhouse’s in the city, list.  We just knocked off another.  We have 3 more to go to, to complete the list.  Lets just say YUMMYYYYY

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The ambiance was so romantic, the service was amazing and the food delicious.

Appetizer, we had fried ricotta and mozzarella di bufala… Umm sooo delicious! mozzarella di bufala reminds me of when I was in Italy 17 years ago! I ate a lot of that! Ha!

I had a 8oz steak, yum! Husband had a 24oz steak. What!

Sides of sauté mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes.

Uh hum and a yummy bottle of Pinot Noir.

AND DESSERT.. I had a Brownie and the best brownie I have ever tasted! Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside… mmm I wish I had one now!

Growing with love and care.

This little plant was given to me on valentines day. Little k planted it at daycare.  I am not good with keeping plants alive :/ but I've been taking special care of this one. And It's growing so much!

I bought a new vase for it, I even cut a little piece and re- planted, so we can grow another one!

;) happy weekend.

Mini trip to Washington D.C

Our 7 year anniversary is next week! We decided to take a early anniversary trip as a family. We had many friends tell us that they loved Washington trips with their families. So we decided to check it out!

A 8 hour drive for us. We left Thursday night, drove 4 hours and stayed at a hotel in Pennsylvania to rest that night.

Little k was already enjoying his adventure. He is such a good traveller.

The next morning we woke up early, had breakfast and headed back on the road.

What a view!

We arrived in Washington Friday afternoon. We stayed at the Embassy Suites. We booked a 2 room suite so we had a bedroom and living room which was great.

As soon as we got there, we dropped off our luggage, freshened up and headed out!

The next 8 hours we just walked and walked. Ha!

There is soooooo much to do in Washington. 2 days is soo not enough.

See pics below!

First evening we walked through China town and had dinner and then kept on walking!

We walked to Captial Hill, Washington monument, Lincoln memorial and reflecting pool.
Little k was sleeping through the first part of our walk.

(Dress old navy, wedge flip flops Aldo's)
Smoothie from a food truck... Let me tell you, there are sooooo many food trucks there at National Mall, pretty much everything you can think of, it's probably there.
Mr woke up at the right time, he threw a coin and made a wish ;)

Reflecting pool, beautiful.

Washington monument.

Lincoln memorial

The next day we continued our walk. Our hotel Ebassy Suites had an awesome breakfast included. It was perfect to fill us up before we headed out to see the White House and national air and space museum...

I thought the White House was bigger than what it was. Not much to see from the outside anyway but now we can say we have been there! Haha.
(Dress Old Navy, belt Winners, shoes TOMS wedge sandal)

Little k was such a good sport, he had a few toddler moments but overall he was a great sport sightseeing!

The best part of the weekend for Kristian was the National air and space museum! He was sooo excited. He is still talking about it.

That evening as we walked to dinner, little k fell asleep. And was out the whole dinner ha!
(Tube top jumpsuit GUESS, shoes Micheal Kors Wedge)

So we labelled it as our quiet anniversary dinner haha.

When little K woke up we hopped on the trolly tour.

We had a nice evening and nice walk at night.

The next day we had breakfast and went to see a few more things before leaving.
(Tank top H&M, tights Aritzia, vest GUESS, shoes Converse)

Since little K is obsessed with airplanes we had to stop at Gravelly Point Park to watch the planes land. He loved it!!!

We drove around Washington for about an hour sightseeing a bit more from the car. Then headed back home!

There was sooo much more I wanted to see and do in Washington. 2 days just wasn't enough. We will definitely be back again.
