Prayers...

First I want to start with my friends sisters twins. They both were born very tiny, one at 3lbs and the other at 2.4lbs. They are little fighters and it's been 2 weeks since they have been born and they are doing so much better! Such a miracle, especially when doctors were so negative with only bad news. I believe so much in the power of prayer and I'm sooo happy for their family.

This is my sweet aunt, she is one of the most caring and most giving person I know.

But she is not herself right now. She is really sick in the hospital and our family is really worried. She is in good spirits which I'm glad for, she is so positive and she just knows she will get better soon :)
She fell ill a couple days ago, we are not sure yet what she has they are still running tests. Her whole body is very swollen with water retention and she is having trouble breathing :( The Toronto hospital she is at is notttt the greatest (another topic) so care is taking time. We will know more tomorrow. I am praying soo much for her recovery. We need my aunt back to herself again :)

My cousin Jess, her daughter, is 21 and in university. It makes me so sad knowing how much she is worrying for her mom. I know exactly how it feels. When I was in college and that same age my dad was sick a lot. I remember going to school so worried and the brink of tears because I was so scared. I remember bringing my books to the hospital and studying for my exams... I really hope I can offer Jess any guidance that I can. As her older cousin I sometimes have the older sister role and feel protective, and really wish she did not have to experience this worry. :(

Me, Jess and Lauren :)

Love my girls.

New weekly goals

New weekly goals :)

* 5 Days a week Nuplus Shake for BF - 1 slice of toast for mid-morning snack.
* 5 days a week of home cooking, include many "green" veggies.
* Drink lots of water everyday! A MUST!
* Tracking calories on Iphone "my fitness pal app)
* 3 bite rule on sweets
* 3 days a week basement work out (1 day Jillian Michaels 30 day shred video 2 days Gazelle)
* No fast food! (no burgers, no fries, no pop!)
* 5 days a week Calli Cleansing Tea

Sunny @ thatextra20pounds sent me many different recipes with the Nuplus packages. Nuplus has 14 Chinese all natural fruits and vegetables in a packet. Yesterday I didn't have any of the ingredients to make the yummy berry shake in the pic above, so I mixed the Nuplus package with milk and a squirt of nesquik for a chocolate milk and it tasted great! :) In the top picture I blended frozen berries with milk,1 yogurt pkg and 1 Nuplus pkg to make a shake for tomorrows BF. Sunny's recipe does not include the yogurt, and I think I will listen and leave it out, it makes it a little too frothy, sorry Sunny, I never listen ahaha!! :)

Another beautiful day!

Another beautiful Day! We woke this morning to soo much sunshine. So we decided to get our running shoes out and go for a morning jog. Oh I miss jogging outdoors and I'm so happy the weather is getting better. Whoohoo!

At the end of a trail near our house there is a little park so we stopped to rest ahahh!

This weekend my healthy eating sorta went out the window, we ate fast food, chips and dip and Candy and chocolate!!...

BUT I did have time to make a delicious dinner. Shrimp Pasta with asparagus (altho my asparagus looks sad ahahh) I rarely make pasta, I leave the pasta eating for when I visit my grandma, but I had all the tasty ingredients for this shrimp pasta and it came out really good:)

Also, I've been talking about some products that I ordered from a bloggy friend, I tried the Calli Tea last night and it was really good and soothing. It's a cleansing tea so I am looking forward to drinking 1 cup a day ;)

Everyday for Breakfast this week I decided to forgo the coffee and toast for a Nuplus Shake.
I'm looking forward to the food change this week and really hoping I could see some pounds drop. I will write about my weekly goals tomorrow :)

Beautiful day!

Today was a gorgeous spring feeling day in Toronto. It was warm and bright and I think everyone was feeling great today!

We went to visit my grandparents for lunch. I ate a fairly large plate of pasta and meat balls haha. No such thing as a dieting with the grandparents, they would not have it ahahh
That's me and my mom.

After we left my grandparents we headed to the book store. I read about a book called Women, Food and God and wanted to get it, but the mall was full of people and so I think I will just order that book on Amazon tonight. Have any of you read that book?
Friday I received some products I ordered from a Bloggy friend. Nuplus shake and Calli Tea. I am going to make a new plan for next week and switch my morning coffee and BF to a Nuplus Shake. I will blog about that tomorrow. I'm excited!

Hope you all are having a great weekend!!

Vacation anyone?

Bloggy friends I need your help! I read many of your blogs and know some of you travel to beautiful fun places and just know you can help me choose a vacation for our 3 year anniversary in June :)

So I made a little list, in no order. And with no relation, just places that pop up in our heads. We are looking to go away for a week end of June.

Some of our most memorable vacations have been those with beautiful nature all around. Places where we were able to go out and explore and just feel and connect with nature.

Some places we have been:
Cuba 3 times! Holguin/Varadero (Holguin wins, gorgeous scenery loved it)
Dominican Rep 2 times
Bahamas
North and South Carolina/Myrtle Beach
Sandiego
and some other smaller trips to the states and within Ontario.

I made a small list of some places we would like to go and have not been yet.

- Within Canada - BC or Alberta
- Caribbean Cruise (sorta scared of the sea eee)
- Road Trip to Florida (we enjoy long road trips :)
- San Fransisco (Always wanted to go here)
- Hawaii (The scenery calls me)

Is there any place you would recommend? Let me know your feedback! and I'll start on the vacation savings :)

Gazelle work out

This morning I went for my B12 shot and my funny doctor said "Do ppl say, wow that girl has energy" hahh! I said NOPE! she said "OK then it's not working yet". ahahah She makes me laugh. Just as she was asking me I was thinking in my head how what a horrible schedule I have. I get to bed late, wake up late, arrive everywhere late. Yesterday I was so tired that I fell asleep at 6pm when I got home from work! Now that's not a girl with energy. NOPE!

So part of my new exercise goals I'm mixing the Shred DVD and my Gazelle workouts. I like changing it up. That way when I don't feel like doing one, I'll do the other.
Tonight there are some shows on Tv that I like. Modern Family and Cougar town. hilarious! My TV snack was carrots and dip :) (well the dip part is not too good, but good thing I didn't like it to much so left a lot :)

On the way home from work tonight we stopped by Winners and Homesense. I only walked out with a button shirt and also this piece of art. I love word art. Especially when it was only $10.00 :)

Today my lower back was hurting alot. I'm glad it doesn't hurt everyday but it's been hurting about twice a week. When will this cyst bursttttt already! I can't take it anymoreee!.... that's my little bit of drama, I'll just leave it at that.

I'm hoping to get to bed sorta early tonight. :) Good night!!

End of the week

End of the week ahhhh. Friday!!! Love Friday's well 5pm on Fridays to be exact. Weekends rock! :)
I'm loving, loving watching the Olympics and I am going to miss watching it when it's over on Sunday :( I've never been a sporty person so when I see these athletes with soo much passion in what they are doing, it makes me feel soo inspired and I feel like I'm there with them. Zoe obviously loves hockey the most ahahahah. Canada so far has 8 Gold, 6 Silver and 3 Bronze.
Joannie Rochette won Bronze in ladies figure skating today and I was just tearing up when she accepted her award. Amazing.

Tonight we are expecting lots of snow and we are getting 3 days straight of snow. I guess we had it really good with only a few days of snow and not that much this year.

...We have not had this yet... ahha!
Eeeek 2008 at our old house and street parking was no fun!!!
