Summer is here!

The sun is shining and I'm pretty sure we won't be getting anymore snow haha.

I still have a long list of must haves for the summer. I haven't worked a summer in a while so my work wardrobe is lacking! Bring on the summer dresses!

I did buy these baby's tho for casual days. I've been eyeing these for a while!!

I also need to get our jerseys ready for the World Cup! Only a couple weeks away!

DH and little K are half ready ha!

Today we drove by our new home and they finally started!!! We are so excited and can't wait! Little k looked over and said "parking spot" haha! Soon it will be a house :)

Weekend fun

This weekend my little niece had her birthday party! Little k loves being with his cousins! He had soo much fun at little E's party, playing, face painting and fun with the clown . Little E turned 1 she is just adorable! And adorably dressed too!

Little k also started his first class in soccer this weekend! It was the cutest thing! He kicks that ball so well! And of course loves the fact that he can run and run and run! The coaches loved him. Especially when he took breaks to drink his water and eat goldfish, or ran around calling out all the colors he saw. Haha

Cutie pie!

Baby food. Pears, peaches and peas

Kristian was up early today so we had a early start to our day. We went grocery shopping and then spent the afternoon at home watching soccer and making baby food and pizza for dinner yum!

We were cheering for Spain and Italy and they both won. Yay!

I made peach purée with fresh organic peaches. I cut up the peach, removed the pit and blended. I added about 2oz of water. Add more or less depending on how thin or thick you want the purée.

I also made peas. I used frozen organic peas. I boiled them. I usually steam everything but with peas I like them boiled. Once boiled I blended them up into a purée, again adding about 2oz of water.

Pears are a favorite with baby boy. So I I make them weekly. I peel, cut and remove the seeds of the pear. Steam and purée.

We are stocked up! In the freezer we have pears, peas, peaches, squash, zucchini, apricots, carrots, chicken and squash. Yum!

Today I also bought baby pasta ha! How cute!

Fun weekend cute pics!

This weekend was full of fun. Saturday my sister and I shopped all day for baby K's upcoming baptism. I bought centerpieces for the restaurant. I love them! Only 4 weeks away!

Yesterday we had family and friends over to watch the Italy and Spain soccer game. Some of us going for Italy and some going for spain. Good thing they tied 1-1 haha!

It's Monday and baby boy woke up early, it's going to be a long day!

I'm thinking of my Monday goals and I want to continue the same as last week.

1.daily walks
2.limit drive thru (it's impossible to fully stop the drive thru)
3. Drink more water, less coffee. Drinking 2 coffee's a day has given me insomnia which is no fun.

It's a warm day and I can't wait to go for a walk this morn!

Happy Monday!

Weekend recap, nursery and OB appointment.

Friday night was my sisters Champagne Birthday! We all went to a nice dinner DT and I gotta say, I had the most delicious appetizers and steak dish that night hhaha heaven!

My mom was babysitting my nieces so when I got there I spent sometime playing with little M. My mommy skills are not to sharp yet... I gave her, her sippy cup with water and didn't turn the lid tight enough... Baby M poured it all over herself and in the playyard... haha. I now know for next time.
I also fed her, her favorite yogurt... I did ok on that, whew!

Saturday we finally purchased the nursery set! I was a little sad that it won't be delivered until the first week of October.  But it's ok, Baby K's due date is Nov 4.

I went with this set below. Crib and Hutch. I also got a night table and the glider chair in beige :)

We also bought all the extras for his room too! Curtains for the bay type window in his room, shelves for the closet, and a new light fixture too.
It's all coming together!

Sunday we had a relaxing day with family. My husband has 3 brothers and I have a brother and sister... Baby K has lots of Aunts and Uncles (Tio's, Tia's and Zio's and Zia's) that are all anxiously waiting his arrival! Both sides of our families love Soccer... So baby K will surely be confused with ALL the teams he will be cheering for ahahha! Mommy is Italian, and Husband is Honduran... Husband cheers for many different teams, like Brazil and Spain and many others... except Italy ahhah! I don't think my grandpa would be impressed.

This morning I went to my OB.  She said that the baby sounded busy! His heart rate was 141bpm and she heard him kick like crazy. My placenta is placed in the front so it acts like a big cushion to many of the kicks, that is why some days I hardly feel kicks and other times I do a lot, just depends on where he is kicking. She felt around and said his head is down, she measured the belly and said it's growing perfectly!

Feeling baby kick a lot right now between my ribs!

She also suggested I take prenatal classes. I wasn't going to, but she has been telling me to since the beginning.. maybe I should?

This week I will be dropping off the paper work to the hospital where I will deliver. Time is flying!!! 10 weeks to go!!!!!!!

Hope you all had a fun and safe weekend.

Jewerly and Sports weekend

Hope you all had a fun weekend. Mine was busy but soo much fun!

Saturday I went to my Aunts Jewelry show.
(Her site http://www.imaginethatdesignvip.com/) She has amazing pieces. She hosts these shows once and a while so we can shop and get the best of her stuff first hand. She is also starting to allow others to host her shows and with 30% commission. So I think I will be doing a Jewelery show at my house very soon! I think my friends would love it too.

It was so much fun being with the girls.

Some pieces I bought....

After that some friends decided to head Downtown Toronto for dinner. It was a beautiful night and beautiful weather in the city! We went to Dundas Square where there is always entertainment, people everywhere just having a good time.

AND You know what Sunday was!
The final game!!!!

Downtown Toronto they hosted a CBC Soccer Nation Festival. It was sooo much fun! Lots of fans came out and packed the streets to watch the game.
They had HUGE Tv's on the streets and everyone was all around watching the serious match!
And as you can see... Spain won! Paul the octopus was right! ahhaah!

Happy Monday!

Lazy Tuesday.

Why does Zoe ALWAYS sleep on the dining room table! What is so comfy about it? Why can't she pick the spare bedroom or the bathroom or anywhere else but the table! haha!

I made tonight a lazy Tuesday night. I came home made dinner... Pork chops and beans with salad and potatoes...YUM!
And I just stayed on the couch with my feet up watching TV! Sometimes these lazy days are soooo neeeded!

Tomorrow in soccer, Honduras and Chile play . We are going over to the inlaws for some delicious Honduran food tomorrow! Can't wait! Loving the world cup games!

Hope you all are having a great week so far!

Weekend relaxation!

Zoe and I cleaned the house today ahah! She chases me around when I sweep or swifter and gets extra hyper when I go in to the dining room or basement (she's territorial ahah!)

It's a beautiful day. I ran some errands and just relaxed outside getting fresh air!

We are still pretty new to our area and we are always looking for new places to eat and check out. Yesterday we found a Italian Sandwich place right by our house! I had a chicken sandwich with veggies. It was HUGE! Husband had to finish it off for me ahhah!

I'm sure you all know what next week is! World CUP! My husband is a HUGE soccer fan! I just tag along for the fun ahah! The teams we are going for....
He would also like me to mention he is also going for Brazil LOL.

What team/teams are you routing for!?

A cold Thursday!

Burrr is all I can say! Boy is it cold today. I just turned up the heat to 22C my fingers and toes were starting to freeze! Hopefully I did it right, I hear some strange noises from the furnace eee!

I woke up today extremely tired. We came home late last night from watching soccer games. Thanks to the USA soccer team for tying the game with Costa Rica, Honduras (where husbands family is from will now be in the World Cup!) The first time since 1982!! Actually In 1982 I was just 1 year old and Italy had won the world cup, see pic below with my dad and brother and my grandpa in the back round :)

I just came back from grabbing a coffee, a much needed coffee to keep me awake while I prepare for another interview tomorrow. I think I am very close to getting this job...but I'm trying not to think too far in the future because that gives me the jitters so I can only think about today and up to tomorrows interview. :) (painting my nails too for the interview, trying not to show my nervous nail biting evidence) ahah!

Yesterday I was only able to get 5000 on the pedometer, not good. Today I'm going for a jog when husband gets back from work. I got my mittens and hat ready to be warm ahah! It's not even winter yet!

Hope you are having a good Thursday! :)

Hump Day Update-Pumpkin pie?

The I phone doesn't take the best pictures but if you look closely there's frost on the grass! burrr!

So I did my weigh in today and weight is still maintained, a good sign but like I mentioned before I need to really cut the cals!

And of course knowing that I did not eat this pumpkin pie with a hot coffee this morning...

Ha! Ok I did! Oh it was so yummy too!

Some days I'm really good at watching what I eat, others I just binge! It's funny because now that I have been watching what I eat I can pinpoint exactly why I eat the way I do at certain times. When I'm stressed there is no controlling me, so bad huh. Not sure to how I need to address that, but I am aware of what I'm doing when I'm doing it so hopefully I can take baby steps to overcoming that.

This weeks goals:

Jogging 3 days.
Pedometer 2 days 10000
No carbs at dinner

I really try my best and minus the carbs at dinner and it's been working pretty well so far so I will continue that.... Except for tonight ahahh we are going to my inlaws house to watch a soccer game. They are from Honduras and they are playing a important game tonight. Hope they win!!
